Which DisneyLand Paris hotel?

As part of our summer holiday we are planning on staying at DLP for 3 nights. I have priced them up for the three of us. DD will be just over 3 years.

Santa Fe = £501
Cheyenne = £537
Sequoia = £595
Newport = £631
New York = £709
Disneyland Hotel = £1015!
Davy Crocket = £539

Anyone got any information about any of these and what they were like?

We will use it primarily as a base only, with breakfast. But must be clean! We will probably use a shuttle bus where we can too. But could use car equally as easy, as parking is included in the price of the holiday anyway.

I don't envisage going back to the hotel during the day at all, or using other services there. We are likely to be in the two parks from early morning to closing. Even if it is wet we are still likely to be out in the parks.

Never stayed in a Disney hotel before.

So, any experience of these hotels would be great. Thanks.

Poshpaws - DH was very sceptical about Disney, hates the movies, whole idea...but even he had a great time and he got so much just from seeing DD's face

I was shocked at how much DLP was, compared to Florida though! Not a cheap place to visit at all is it? Florida is certainly more reasonable - if there's a few of you to share a villa. But obviosuly not cheaper - just seemed better value for money that's all.

Hulababy, is it not cheaper to get there? I understand it is very expensive once there (but then, I think Paris IS expensive in general).

Is grocery shopping expensive on site? Must admit, was hoping we could stock up on non-perishables and ferry them over in the car to save money. Can you do that?

Newport- lakeveiw- We were very impressed. It was clean and fresh, the new england theme really works. It is a bit of a walk but it is along the lake and will be nice in summer (it was a bit bracing in Feb.

Sequoia Lodge- Our room was fine, try to get the main building as some are a bit of a trek.

Santa Fe- haven't stayed but nobody seems to like it complain that it looks like council flats.

New York- Again haven't stayed here but They say the best thing is the veiw of Newport across the lake, Deco theme doesn't appeal to kids.

This year we stayed in Paris. Next time if on site I would stay in Cheyenne, if taking car Davie crocket, if watching pennies an independent hotel in Bussy St George 10m on train Quad rooms from £55 per night.

If you book into a disney hotel you get access to park from arrival day , arrive early leave bags at reception and get an extra day, book a late flight and get another day. 3 nights can give you 4 full days.

We arrived in Main St just in time to see the light parade then run through to Peter Pan while the parade finished. Amazing start!

Poshpaws - I guess so, plus you are more likely to be staying longer than just a few days. However, I bet if you priced up a 2 week holiday in both locations, the cost difference would be less than you realise!

Scribble - we are doing just as you say. Getting there early - to get at least half a day on DLP in the first day - and our flight home isn't until 9pm - so lots more time there too.
