Travel bath mat for slippery shower trays

I am fed up with stepping into showers on holiday that are as slippery as ice rinks. Has anyone any ideas for a travel bath mat, something that dries fast?

I just roll up a normal bath mat and stick it in my suitcase, sometimes I lay it out flat in my suitcase if I’m taking the bigger one. You just dry it with a towel before packing to come home. I’ve never seen one specifically made for travel.

I always take a lightweight small bathmat rolled up in my case, it’s smaller than a standard bathmat, I can’t remember the brand sorry. But Google some and the measurements should be on there. Sometimes hotels do have safety bathmats you just have to ask. But I agree I wouldn’t dream of showering without a safety mat, far too dangerous.

I bought a small one from Asda that was about 3 quid with the intention of leaving it behind if I couldn't spare the weight/space in case for flight home. Was great and now I just keep it for holidays.

I use a microfibre cloth - the square ones you get for cleaning.

I’ve never had a slippery shower!

Thanks everyone. I’m going to test a microfibre cloth first.

This, we used a hand towel as an extra non slip bath matt when we had an elderly relative staying, we have a walk in shower.

I've done this on holiday. You can get larger cloths in B&Q. They don't weigh much dry.

when I buy a new mat for the house I keep the old one and take it on holiday with me, than throw it away on the way back.
