Holiday with a 6m old

Where is nice to go with warm (20-23 degrees) weather in November with a 6m old? Haven’t travelled this time of year before so looking for advice. Thanks!

You will struggle in Europe to get those temperatures, but I found 4-6 months was the easiest ages to go long haul before baby gets too mobile. Especially if you can get a night flight.

Just to add you might get lucky with somewhere like Cyprus or Malta or even the canaries if you did want to stick to Europe.

Costa Adeje in Tenerife will be about 19-24 at the beginning of November. It’s probably the shortest flight you can get for those kind of temperatures at that time of year, and the transfer from the airport isn’t very long either. It’s got a nice safe sandy beach and you’ll be able to find plenty of pharmacies and shops selling baby food/nappies etc…

Thanks both! I was thinking maybe the canaries but haven’t been there in November time before so didn’t know how good the weather would be

You can expect a daily high of 20–23 in most places in the Mediterranean, for example southern Spain (i.e., no need to go as far as the Canaries). It might go down to 15 overnight so you would want a jacket to eat out in the evening, and it's not ideal for swimming in a pool, but it can be a very good time of year to visit. The sun is much lower in the sky than in the summer and so it doesn't matter so much if a 6m old child gets a few minutes without factor 50.

Cape Verde. No jet lag and guaranteed sunshine.
