Is Elounda (Crete) fun for kids

Hi, we’re planning our first holiday as a family, I have 2 girls age 5 and 3. We’re hoping to find an all inclusive with kids club that will take age 3 and up which is proving tricky. I’ve found tui Elounda breeze which looks nice but can’t really tell how far it is to the resort centre and if Elounda would be good for kids. It has some water slides which leads me to think it’s kid focused but the reviews seems to be from couples. We like culture and pretty little towns rather than big built up resorts. Has any one been to Elounda or this hotel specifically and can comment on what it was like?
thanks so much

We went to Elounda and I loved it. There's a nice beach with lovely views and a playground next to it. Playground isn't huge, but my 5yo enjoyed it. There is an island nearby you can visit (although we didn't) and other little towns and beaches along the coast. We were happy staying mostly at the hotel and beach, so didn't really explore. I think it's a 'pottering and exploring' place, rather than having loads to do.

We didn't stay at that hotel, so can't comment on that. We stayed at the Elounda Residence and Waterpark which was great - lovely views but very hilly! - but didn't really have a kids club.

We went there with a three year old and six month old and they had a great time. Plenty to do on site (four pools with three geared to families, pool games, splash pad/slides kids disco, kids club). There is a beach but not a fantastic one for playing so we didn’t spend much time there. We got a taxi into town once and did an underwater boat trip and wander round the nice town, and there were a few other options for day trips nearby. I think it is a taxi to get anywhere off resort though.

We actually paid (surprisingly little) extra for a room with a private pool, which was amazing for a bit of luxury, though mostly useful for the older one being able to play while the baby napped.

Definitely a family feel to the resort though - tonnes of kids even in term time when we went. It’s the only all inclusive we’ve ever done so can’t compare it, but we had a good time.
