Campsites in France - English speaking families

We are planning on camping in France this summer with our daughter who is 10. We have been camping in France in the summer holidays for the last 2 years - 2023 in the Vendee, 2024 in the Dordogne. In the Dordogne we loved the area and the campsite, which was beautiful and peaceful, and my 10 year old daughter was able to make friends to play with which was great. In the vendee she did make friends with one french girl but communication in general was difficult and there was only one english family there whose children were not sociable. We also weren't too keen on the area. In the past we have also loved the Ile de Re and the Alsace, so near pretty french towns would be a bonus for us. Our 10 year old definitely expects to make friends on camping holidays and makes our lives a misery until she finds some.

Anyway, this year I have booked La Ribeyre in the Auvergne, but I have checked reviews and many mention that it is mainly french and dutch families. It also mentions loud entertainment, which my husband I are not fans of - though understand the campsites with entertainment probably attract more families. Anyway, I am rethinking and wondering if anyone could recommend any campsites where my daughter is likely to be able to make friends and we can avoid too much of the loud entertainment? We do tend to go out and about most days, so it's just for other children to play with in the pool/ playground, not to stalk the whole time. I know mumsnet has a thing about only children stalking other families. We definitely don't plan to send her off to hang around with other families all day. Thanks!

I think you tend to find more British families on Eurocamp sites and other chain sites like Yelloh or Castels. Also % wise, I think Brittany/Normandy tend to have more British families as they are just closer to the ferry ports.
I'm in the same situation with an only child, so trying to balance what we all want in a campsite is a pain..
We did a site near Carnac last year and it's a beautiful area and a mixture of British/Dutch/French

@FlatStanley50 we really like La Ribeyre. I don't think there were lots of English, but some. The pool is great, and then had kayaks and paddle boards to borrow. Entertainment wasn't overly loud - it's not my kind of thing and I don't remember it being bad.
Where did you stay in the Alsace?
