Beach holiday for 7 nights, how many would you bring? I only own 1 and it's seen better days, havnt been abroad for 10 years, back then I probably would of taken about 5 but buying them now isn't quite so easy now I'm a few stones heavier.

For a week to ten days I would take 4 (and probably wear my favourite 2 on repeat 😂).
going on a 10 day trip soon and only have one that fits now, you’ve reminded me that I need to look for some new ones. I hate shopping for swimwear 😭
I do swim a lot in regular life but have ugly practical swimming costumes, short boy leg ones, brilliant but I don’t want to be wearing those around the pool…

Sockmate123 · 22/04/2025 23:34

I always bring 3 but end up mainly wearing 2. Make sure to bring a cover up that will match both, I have a habit of bringing matching saring etc for each swimsuit. Try keep it simple

MrsSkylerWhite · 22/04/2025 23:35

Probably two.

lasrande · 22/04/2025 23:47

I've never taken more than one. They dry quickly enough and I just wear it to swim or paddle in (not sit around in), which I wouldn't do more than once a day.

rosydreams · 23/04/2025 00:16

i take look asda george website good for swimwear or bonmarche

Maxorias · 23/04/2025 00:25

I'm baffled by all the people who take a gazillion swimsuit on holiday, just the one is enough surely ? If it's wet, so what ? Presumably you're wearing it to get in the pool so will get wet again, and if the goal is to sunbathe it'll dry quickly....

HeddaGarbled · 23/04/2025 00:38

Bit perplexed at people saying two - they're basically the same as underwear and surely people don't wear the same underwear five days running

Chemically treated pools plus rinsing.

Evenmoretired44 · 23/04/2025 00:55

I really loathe sitting around in wet swimwear so need to change into dry ones at lunchtime. I take three if going to a hot and dry place and four if it is hot and humid as things sometimes take a while to dry under those circumstances. At least one practical one that will stay put if I’m doing something active as I enjoy water sports.

Evenmoretired44 · 23/04/2025 00:57

Also second the suggestion of matching cover ups
and two pairs of flip flops in case one dies on you
and more suncream than you think you need

Mimilamore · 23/04/2025 17:36

Just come back from 3 o weeks away, I took 5 but two I already had and 3 were from Vinted. Very hot and humid country and much time spent in sea and in pool …. by far the most worn of everything I took.
Go for 3 but don’t spend a fortune on them, couple of sarongs and you’re good to go!

Letshavetea1 · 23/04/2025 17:56

I take three - all with matching cover ups. That way there is one on, one dry for a change after lunch and one drying from the previous afternoon. Couldn’t manage with less!

MinnieMountain · 24/04/2025 06:06

I’d take 3.

CrushingOnRubies · 24/04/2025 12:04

3 but would get away with 2. Depends what you’re doing for lunch. I hate getting changed into dry clothes going for lunch then having to get changed back into a soggy seim
suit again. Then one just in case

BG2015 · 24/04/2025 16:10

I usually take 4 bikinis and one swimsuit. Went away a couple of years ago with my son and his girlfriend (they were both 19) and she took 16 bikinis! Laughed so much when she told me.

GoatCatTaco · 24/04/2025 16:26

I'd buy a new one, and take the old one as back up.

Rollofrockandsand · 24/04/2025 16:36

Oh dear. I usually aim to take about 5. I replace one each year. And have a few on rotation.
