Centre Parcs - Sherwood or Whinfell

I’m thinking of trying Centre Parcs out for the first time in June next year. My kids will be 11 months old and 2 and a half.
Please could I have opinions on Sherwood or Whinfell from anyone who’s been to both? Which would be most suitable for the kids’ age groups? Is there anything else I’d need to consider when deciding between the two?
Thanks in advance :)

Whinfell everytime.
pool is better for your age children. Plus you have red squirrels!
it’s also a smaller site so less people

We prefer Sherwood. We've been to both - only one not tried is Longleat in the UK. Going back to Sherwood this year.
I think the pool is better at Sherwood. Its flatter so easier if you are riding bikes. Esp with a trailer.

Sherwood is a bit more spread out. Whinfell is really quite small, so all the restaurants etc. are close together all situated around the lake. I personally prefer Sherwood but with small children it might be better to go to Whinfell where everything's close by.

Thank you everyone, that’s really helpful ☺️

Cumbria is the wettest county…

Oo- this is our constant debate!
we are nearer Sherwood, so tend to go there. But the site and the forest at Whinfell are really pretty! I do miss it.

We've been to both, but not been to Sherwood for a few years, as we prefer Whinfell. It's definitely less spread out at Whinfell but we (and our grandkids) like that everything is in closer walking distance. They like the pool there and we seem to see far more of the wildlife, especially the red squirrels and pheasants.
