As per the title, what would you recommend buying while in Singapore at the end of April?

If you a vey petite, clothes and shoes.
Technology things can be good
Food wise, I love bak-wa, sticky, moist, jerky meat you will find in many shops

I’d buy what I want, and can claim the taxes back on. A nice watch perhaps?

I didn’t find the shopping there that incredible; I only bought new socks. I didn’t go to go shopping, though, so perhaps I wasn’t in the right places.

It’s a brilliant place though, I loved it. Food is great too.

Re tech, you'd need to know your prices/conversions and also check that any warranties are valid in your home country. We bought a canon camera and specialist lens, but this was a few years ago.

I recall fresh water pearls were also good value, if that is something you are into? I've also bought a reasonable watch before.

There is a massive, multistory shop in Little India called the Mustafa centre. Again, this was a few years ago, but it was more like a mini mall and sold everything! A jewelry shop. Its 'mainly' aimed at the Indian market, so sold alot of 21' carat items, but also others. A whole toy section, food, clothing, money exchange and a fascinating section of kitchen ware and homewares. I bought some lovely serving trays and utensils. They also had a range of souvenirs and was the cheapest place we found for most things.

Is you spend over SD100, and take your passport shopping with you, you might be eligible to claim the tax back when you leave the country. www.customs.gov.sg/individuals/going-through-customs/departure/tourist-refund-scheme/

This is a bit random but when I’m in Singapore I buy Lojel wheelie cases. Lojel is a Japanese brand that you can’t buy in the UK and they make great suitcases for reasonable prices (I used to live in Asia).
