Any thoughts on places with slightly cooler temperatures at the end of June. To go away with easily pleased teens for relaxing and sightseeing.

TIA

Edinburgh to Copenhagen with Easyjet is not going to break the bank. Food in Denmark is very reasonable - not much more expensive than in the UK and there are plenty of inexpensive options in the grill bars and supermarkets. Just stay away from the fine dining places.

Copenhagen has the city sights and museums etc., the amusement parks (Tivoli and Bakken) and beaches. And "The Bridge" - which goes to Sweden rather than to Norway.

Oops yes. Sweden not Norway. I knew that really il did but somehow still typed the latter 😂.

Not Morocco, Turkey, Dubai, Egypt or anywhere else in the UK.

I was wondering if Portugal or somewhere in north Italy or Greece might be slightly cooler end of June than say mainland Spain, Dubrovnik, Malta etc etc.

My family comes from the North of Italy but Emilia Romagna rather than the Alps/ Dolomites ( So Milan Paema, Bologna etc ) and June is usually pretty hot, particularly towards the end of rhe month. ( touching 35 deg sometimes), even May gets quite hot some years

Jul and August are sweltering most years with temps of 40+ quite often.

I tend to visit in April/May or Sept/Oct if i want to be sure of the best weather

Alps and Dolomites areas further North are cooler
