Caribbean - mid to late July

We are looking to travel abroad for two weeks from mid-July with our children. Has anyone been to the Caribbean around that time and knows of it was quite rainy? I read online July is the start of the rainy season but still hot. Thank you.

Depends on where you’ll be in Caribbean? I’m western Caribbean and it absolutely depends on whether the hurricane season starts off with a bang.
I think the eastern Caribbean islands get more rain than we do but it’s hard to pinpoint.

but generally speaking, even during the rainy season the island I’m on will have some rain in the morning but clear 20 mins later. It rarely rains all day every day and the only time I’ve experienced that is when we have a front sitting over the top of us.

And yes, it’s “hotter than the devils asshole” as we say here.

My sister went in June and was really disappointed with the weather. It’s a long way to go, and a lot of money to spend, when you know it’s the rainy season.

These were late July possibly first week of August 2023. We have a rain on a few days but it didn’t last long. Later in August they closed some resorts and airports due to weather, we are going again same time this year.

Hurricane season, keep the Caribbean to the winter. Europe is lovely in the summer, no point flying all the way for the off season.

I wouldn't go during hurricane season. To me, the whole idea of the Caribbean is to be in good weather when it's cold where you are.

I wouldn't like that heat - this is Barbados in July:
Daytime high: 30°C
Nighttime low: 25°C
Humidity: 81%

Thank you. Sounds a good idea to avoid it.
