Portugal - walking

I am looking for a destination in Portugal that is low key and not too busy and noisy, with nice eateries and a beach, but the main thing I’d love a long, flat, seafront walkway or promenade. Or coastal path or similar you can access easily.Anyone been somewhere you can suggest?

Cascais to Estoril has a long beachfront. We stayed in Haute Estoril and walked along the ‘prom’ every day. There is a train from Cascais to Lisbon for a day out.

Wow both these seem perfect thank you @Beebumble2 @Forgottenmyphone

Plus one for this 👆

Have a nice coffee in the Sun and Drink lounge looking at the sea.

Alvor! Gorgeous little town with a really long promenade along it.

Espinho near Porto, you can walk all the way to Porto, we didn't took the train to Granja and walked back to Espinho as only had a fairly short amount of time for this.

Lagos. Beautiful boardwalk like the pics above plus old town beauty alongside modern town marina

The Azores are part of Portugal and have some wonderful walks.

Thank you @TeamGeriatric I went to Porto a long time ago, nice (if fading!) memories now though!

Madeira is also part of Portugal and fabulous for walking. The main town, Funchal has several km of promenade and there's also the levadas, small canals that bring water from the mountains to the coastal areas, which you can walk along. These have varying difficulty grades, but are by their nature, downhill.

Thank you, Madeira is on the list for another time, I can’t fly direct from the airport near me but I can direct to Faro. Madeira looks amazing I agree!!!
