How to approach sleep with early flight

Hi everyone! Just looking for some advice -
We will be going on our first family holiday at the end of April when my little girl turns 9 months old.
While excited, our flight is at 6am and the airport has recently requested holidaymakers arrive 3 hours before the flight, so we have to be at the airport for 3, meaning we will likely have to wake up little girl up around 2am.

We’ve JUST got her into a solid schedule which sees her sleep through the night and now I’m anxious! She usually goes to bed around 7pm and wakes up at 6:30am. Has anyone any advice on how to approach this?
Thank you!

A holiday is going to mess up her sleep anyway, just go with the flow

Just go with the flow. We’ve done a lot of flights when dc were that age. I waited until we were just about to leave, so car packed etc then just picked dd up, wrapped in blanket and put in car seat. Mostly fell asleep again, and if they didn’t they usually stayed awake for a few hours, some food then sleep on plane. I much prefer an early flight.

This. We did our first holiday with DS at 8 months. It was an evening (and delayed) so he slept about 7-11, was awake about midnight till 1.30 and got some more sleep.

No point trying to stick to routine.

Lots can change in a month, I wouldn’t think her sleep schedule is set in stone for the long term at such a young age (my children are 21mo and 3.5yo). As PP suggest just go with the flow.

At 9 months they can sleep on the go also as will be in car seat, sling, pram. So I would aim to take her at 2am straight from cot into car seat and drive, hopefully she will fall back Asleep.
Same on arrival, straight into pram and hope they fall back asleep. If they don’t feed extra milk and they either sleep or don’t.

You’ve got a long haul flight too where her routine will be all over. Hopefully a 2am wake up will mean she sleeps on the plane!

Going on holiday with a young baby will totally mess up their sleep. Time zone difference, new place, too hot etc. will mean that there is little chance of normal routine sleep anyway. You just have to go with the flow. Let them sleep when they’re tired and accept you’ll have some disruptions.
