How much spending money for Disneyland Paris?

We go to Disneyland in 3 weeks!! We are a family of 4 going for 5 days. We have breakfast booked already but wondering how much we will need for 5 days? Want to get the kids a few bits each too as we probably won’t go again for at least 5 years if ever, as we can’t afford a holiday every year and there are lots of other places we’d like to go to too ☺️

What’s the minimum we’d need or average?☺️

I’ve been twice and both times I’ve not dared to look too closely at my credit card bill after. Second time I think I spent around £600 between food and shopping and that doesn’t include what now ExH spent. £100 of that was on a suitcase to bring our shopping back though….. 😬

Take a look on the Disneyland Paris app to see the menus for the different restaurants. Will give you an idea of how much you are likely to spend per meal. Last time we were there I think it was about 20€ for an adult fast food meal and 10€ for a child. I thought the meals were decent value but snacks and drinks were expensive.

How are you getting there? We went by channel tunnel driving so loaded up the car with bottled water and snacks. We went half board so had breakfast and dinner, then the snacks we took with us kept us going during the day (we’d do brunch at Annette’s for breakfast at a small upgrade cost if that’s still a thing, which filled us up for hours). The kids had a set amount each like £50 for their own souvenirs. And apart from that we then spent very little. I want to say we took £500 and came back with a fair amount.

Disney prices are wild. A cookie is £5, never mind an actual meal. The all you can eat buffet restaurants are around €45 an adult, €30 a child. The fast food style restaurants are about €20 a meal and not a lot cheaper for children. Popcorn is €14

If you are interested in trying to save money, I’d recommend:

  • Take a refillable water bottle. There’s taps you can refill them for free. They charge €5 for a drink otherwise (that’s like a 500ml Coke, not a fancy drink)
  • Theres a train station right outside the gate. You can buy a meal deal there and take it with you into the park to eat, or they sell lots of snacks the kids can eat.
  • If you’re staying somewhere with a kitchen, there’s a supermarket very close by on the train - it’s like a 9 minute train ride
  • The costumes are extortionate. If you know your children are likely to want to dress up, buy costumes here and take them with you
  • The toys / teddies in the shop are often cheaper in the Disney store online. I let the children pick something and then told them I’d arrange with the shop to deliver it to our house so we wouldn’t have to carry it on the plane. I then ordered on the website and genuinely saved 40%

Depends if you want quick service or table service meals and whether you want character dining. Looking at food from quick service restaurants it seems sensible to budget €20 per day adult & bigger kid meal, plus another €10-15 for smaller meal/snacks.
Also depends on the appetites of your dc - whether they’ll be eating off the kids menus or not.
My advice would be to fill up at breakfast and then you can get a light lunch/snacks until a bigger meal in the evening.
Also, if you can take some snacks for during the day and water bottles then you can avoid the overpriced snack stands.

Buffet meals are around £35 + for adults and £18+ for kids. There are also quick service places which are cheaper.
If you are looking to save money take snacks with you and drinks into the parks.
In terms of souvenirs that would depend how much you want to spend. We usually only get a couple of things and kids take their own money.

Food is pretty expensive. Booking packages is cheaper. Then you not need money for drinks and ice
creams.
