We're going in 6 weeks 😄 apart from airport transfers, what do we need to plan? Obviously have booked hotel and flights but apart from that, what do we need to book so that everything is smooth? Thank you Grin

If you can afford it I would recommend fast passes as the ques are horrible

Are you staying on site? Book your restaurants, book any character meals. Fast Pass, we queued two and half hours for Crushes Coaster and then it shut down because it wasn't working.

If you want to have any sit down meals (including buffets) at any of the Disney park hotels, including if you're staying at one, or any of the themed restaurants in the park you need to book them through the app.

If you're happy with the quick service/fast food places (not just hot dogs /burgers and chips there's also pizza/pasta places) or the restaurants in the "village" just outside the park including places like Annette's diner and Rainforest cafe then you don't need to worry about that.

Have fun!

I booked vip area for fireworks which I think was worth it. Parade I would not bother.

Make sure you take paracetamol/ibuprofen/Calpol etc as medication is only sold in pharmacies there and is a train ride (or car if driving) away from the Disney bubble.
Are you staying at a Disney hotel?

If you’ve got the budget:

  • character dining skips queues and you meet 6 characters. Evening is Mickey and Minnie. There is also 6 x princess restaurant too. This was the best value for money I spent
  • fast passes - we fast passed anything over 20 minutes and got on lots of rides. Some like buzz and the others in that area go right down to 5-10 minutes of an evening so do those later

Have a game plan and route to ensure efficiency.

Lastly get a Mastercard and take ID. You can get 4 x tickets to the Mickey show in studios and Lion king in the main park. You need to be there I think by 10am at guest services to collect. The queue is to the right and this means you don’t need to queue early to get show access.

If you have an SEN child, then go online a month before and request an access pass.

Plan your rides and also if you can make use of single rider lines then for sure do that.

Book the restaurants now!

Pre-book and pay for as much as you can before you go. Fast passes are a must if you don’t want to queue for hours for rides. Be prepared to queue for over 2 hours each to see the Disney Princesses, Snow White, Mary Poppins, Pluto etc. Take medication and sun cream. You will be on your feet all day, so wear comfortable shoes, clothes and take a sun hat if the weather looks good. Everything seems so expensive in the Disney bubble - do make sure you have a decent budget and a credit card.
