Hotels with rapids?

Just got back from Butlins and my DD (9) was absolutely obsessed with the rapids! She's neurodivergent and it's not always easy to find things she enjoys this much (particularly activities that she'd be happy to do without me sometimes too) so I've been trying to search for hotels abroad which have rapids on-site, but I'm not having much luck.

Is this a thing? Has anyone ever stayed at a hotel with rapids? I know we could just visit a water park eg Siam Park but she can get overwhelmed with crowds etc & likes to have a little rest back at the hotel every few hours, so on-site would be amazing.

Bonus points if:

  1. You can go down without a rubber ring.
  2. It isn't too deep/ treacherous (she can swim a bit & is much keener after this holiday so I'm going to try her with lessons again, but ideally it'd be safe for a weak swimmer), but is more thrilling than a lazy river.
  3. There's somewhere I can sit (sunbathe) & watch her come out when I need a little rest after going round with her a hundred times Grin
  4. The hotel itself isn't super expensive (though her school has slightly different term dates so I should be able to book when it's cheaper & quieter), and ideally has a sort of apartment setup so she can have her own room (or definitely her own bed) - I don't mind sleeping on a sofa bed.

Not fussed on the country! Or if it doesn't meet all of the above reqs - it's just really hard to google for, so I'd be grateful for any help.

But if not, if you've visited a water park with really good rapids, I'd love to hear about those too as that'd be plan B.

Thank you!!

Center Parcs have rapids. They can be pretty rough though, I came out feel battered and bruised.

Thank you! It's definitely a thought though I'm hoping to find somewhere abroad if I can. I know what you mean though, I'm still a bit tender from the Butlins rapids too!

Blue Lagoon Resort in Kos had a lazy river and a few small slides, not quite rapids but sounds like it could work well for your family.

I know you said abroad but... I went to the Centre Parcs in Woburn and this has super rapids that start indoors and then go on a loop outside. I think she would be okay on this depending how tall she is at her swimming level. You do it without a ring.
Plus other lazy rivers etc indoors.

Centre Parcs also have several French and other sites. I've never been but heard good things about it from a friend.

Center Parcs have sites across Europe with rapids. Also some Eurocamp sites like La Rive and Domaine D'Inly.

Turkey has lots of hotels with water parks on site. Not sure of any with rapids as such but plenty of slides.
