Eperheide would be my choice for smaller kids. Or De Kempervennen in the NL.
De Haan has less on site but is close to the beach and there's lots to do on the coast - there's a tram that travels the whole length. De Vossemeren was a bit meh in my memory. Also have a look at Landal.com for a CP alternative.

Hi Op.
I hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread. We have just booked De Kempervennen for August.

@MissAmbrosia any tips for Kempervennen.

We have never been to a centerparcs in Europe.

@Missb1981We went last year to De Haan and it was so wonderful! We’ve got a 3 year old and there was tons to do. We’ve took the tram to the cities nearby and at the park they had a wonderful farm. Really want to go back next year.

Doglady1764 · 13/02/2025 11:49

Eperheide looks amazing though!!!!

Try to book activities in advance - I think there is an app now. I really liked the breakfast pack - they bring a tonne of ham and cheese and milk and yoghurts and juice etc and then hang fresh bread / rolls on your doorknob in the morning. The dine-around pack is quite good value for money if you don't want to cook all the time, and you can rent raclettes / table grills for the chalet. I think there is a nice pancake house close to De Kempervennen if I haven't got them confused - and of course it also has the snow dome. I live in Belgium so we have done all these for a long weekend, rather than a week or more.

I remember at Eperheide, we had a cottage directly on one of the lakes which seemed completely not overlooked at all. So I might have been naked in the living room with the doors wide open one morning....not sure who was more shocked then - me or the entire family on a pedalo gazing in...😂So I advice checking before stripping...

We have never been to a centerparcs in Europe.

We've been a few times and really enjoyed it. Other than on our first trip there, we've avoided the restaurants as they are pricey and not great quality. We go to a supermarket on the way and meal plan for the four days. We buy a lot of hot Chocomel with cream and cakes at the cafes though!

Sorry to jump on this thread, but can anyone advise if any of them are doable without a car?

MissAmbrosia · 13/02/2025 20:40

If you look at the CPs website - it does give directions via public transport for each of the parks. Not always simple. I think De Kempervennen was a relatively easy taxi transfer from Eindhoven. Duinrell - often recommended here is quite easy by train / bus.

Thanks not found that yet so will go in and hunt now that I know it’s there.

oldermumsornot · 13/02/2025 21:41

definitely erperheide for that age and we have been to all of those suggested

Imenti · 13/02/2025 22:01

I've been to both Erperheide and De Vossenmeren with 5 & 1 year old / 6 & 2 year old. They are very similar. I think I did prefer Erperheide overall but De Vossenmeren has an absolutely INSANE indoor play pirate play park that is brilliant for younger kids, especially if the weather is a bit rubbish.
