Disneyland Paris - worth it just now?

Down a rabbit hole on tik tok where they’re showing all the ‘under construction’ areas in Disneyland Paris just now, and the delays to rides reopening. There are no reductions or discounts to entry fees during these works.

was planning to visit start of March with DDs (11 & 9) - either for one or two days as part of trip to Paris. Will it be worthwhile and is it worth forking out for 2 days with so many closures? They’re not hugely into Disney but would recognise the characters etc.

Honestly I don't think that much is closed, according to the app in terms of rides it is only big thunder mountain and the Thunder Mesa riverboat. I think some shops and food outlets may also be closed, but there are plenty of alternatives. We went in the summer and it does look a bit ugly with all the cordoned off sections for the construction going on. This is more so in the studios park, where they are expanding to build a frozen land, and it's running really behind schedule, the barricades impacts where you can walk, there is basically only one route through the entire park, but none of the rides themselves, all rides are open. There were a couple of areas of construction in the main park, but nothing major from memory. They have shut big thunder mountain for renovations since Christmas, so not sure what it looks like round there now. It is a good ride, my kids like it, but there are plenty of other good rides to enjoy, so I wouldn't be deterred.

Also 2 day/1 night ticket often cheaper than 2 day park tickets, worth checking as that gives you park access from 8:30am when it's quietest.

Personally, I'd wait for Frozen to be finished then go.

Have you checked the price difference between going to Paris for a couple of days and California for a week?

Disneyland Paris simply can't compete with the American parks (Florida and California), so it may be worth spending the extra.

California's Disneyland has all the best stuff in a concentrated area (including both Star Wars rides) so would recommend for a first time experience.

Disneyland Paris clearly didn't get the "happiest place in the world" memo and staff and locals are often quite rude in my experience.

Thanks - the kids actually want to go to Paris itself with this an activity for one or two of the days at most so a Disney holiday eg Florida would be a different trip altogether.
We’re staying in the city centre so train would be arriving between 8.30 and 9 - not sure if we’d need early park access. I just don’t want to feel like it’s a shoddy version of what it could be like.

Early access is great, but the Disney hotel prices seem quite high in early March, so if you've already paid for a hotel in the centre of Paris then it's definitely not worth it.
