All inclusive autism friendly

I’m looking for recommendations from people for all inclusive resorts that would be ok for autistic kids, especially access to kids club where staff might be SEN aware, buffet dining that’s not too intense/formal/crammed in I guess, and not too far from the airport so shortish transfer. My DD 10 loves swimming etc and is fairly independent. But gets overwhelmed in noisy crowded places sometimes which can lead to meltdowns… thanks!! I realise autistic people are not alike etc so it’s hard to generalise but I thought someone might have had a good experience somewhere and be able to share.

Estival Eldorado in Cambrils might work. 20 minute transfer from Reus airport. Quiet hotel with a few pools. Only issue might be mealtimes as the buffet can be quite busy. They have variety in foods but the plain food like pasta, pizza, chips is the same every day.

Our whole family is autistic , inc children similar ages to your DD, and we have been to Louis St Elias in Cyprus (private pool) and Hilton Dalaman (lake house)
not cheap but both worked really well for us.
the kids loved the buffet food (chicken nuggets for breakfast anyone!!!!) and we spent time by the main pool/ slides in the morning and then retreated to our own room/ pool in the peace and quiet for the afternoon once we were all in need of some quiet time.
they didn’t use the kids club in Cyprus, and they did in the Hilton, which was a drop in one for 10+ year olds (the 10 year old could also attend the one for younger children) although I am not sure how SEN friendly they were as they didn’t go there much
they were both short transfers and the buffets did not feel too overcrowded for any of us.
we have realised that a room a bit away from the main hotel with its own sun beds and pool is key for us.

DD15 is older but loved Atlantico Mare in Cyprus, was really spread out, has swim up rooms which is lovely if you want some quiet time and the restaurants were all great.

Could not comment on the kids club there, the best kids clubs I used when she was younger was via Scott Dunn, English ran clubs within hotels like Pine Cliffs in Portugal or Sun Gardens in Croatia.

Alua Suites in fuertaventura in the Canaries worked really well for us. DD is autistic and was 14 at the time. DS (11) and DD (9) are neurotypical and also loved it.

We went to the Occidental Menorca in Punta Prima which would fit the bill, it's about 20 minutes from the airport, very chilled out and loads of space. Staff were brilliant, there were activities and things going on but fairly low-key and definitely no pressure to join in if you didn't want to. Quite often the evening entertainment was live music like a local singer with a guitar outside as everyone just sat at the bar. Quiet area, low rise buildings for accommodation and no other massive buildings, quiet road.

We were there in October! In Corralejo. The benefit of that one is that there are multiple pools so if you don't want to be around the pool where the activities are happening (although those were low key too) you could easily go elsewhere.

I think in general terms I'd avoid Majorca, Ibiza, mainland Spain, Rhodes, Crete, Tenerife and look for a smaller island with a reputation for being laidback like Menorca, Lanzarote or Fuerteventua.

I went to Holiday Village Benalmadena a couple of years ago. It is a large hotel but it shares a waterpark with two other hotels so there are about 10 pools to choose from and even in the summer holidays it never felt too busy.

It's the lowest rated holiday village (there are a few) but there were good reviews about their reps and sen children.

We found Alua Suites through a travel agent who I can’t recommend enough- Melanie at Travelgate in Harrogate
