Seville in March, where else?

We are looking to book to go to Seville mid March, first time there, and due to local
Flight times we will likely be doing Sunday to Sunday.
Is 7 days too long in Seville? Is the weather likely to be warm enough to just relax once the sightseeing is done?
Alternatively we could fly into Seville and then fly home from somewhere else on a direct train route.
Madrid?
Benalmádena?
Malaga?
Grenada?

Anyone with experience help me along?

We had 2 nights/days in Seville and 2 in Cadiz last Feb, flying in and out of Seville. Could easily have done 3 whole days in Seville with a little more relaxing around the sight seeing.
We're going to Málaga this year with a day trip to Grenada.
With 7 days, I think I'd do 3 in Seville, 2 in Grenada and 2 in Málaga, flying home from Málaga is flight times work.
It's only an hour or so on the train between the two, so either an evening or morning train would allow a full day of holiday.

We had 3 nights in Malaga in March. Very pleasant weather wise and plenty to see and do.

That coastline is very accessible by train so could always have a few nights elsewhere beyond Seville.

Seville, Granada, Malaga. I did this in 7 days with an overnight in Cordoba aswell. Super little place and just so atmospheric. Flew into Seville and out of Malaga.

Took trains from place to place, they are very good and inexpensive too. Didn't find it tiring or rushed at all, but that would depend on your relaxation needs! I'm 67 BTW and walked loads too no bother. That was in February so it wasn't hot and was much easier to be quite active. Similar time of year to you.

We went to Seville, Cordoba and the Alhambra Palace. That was all in December and it was pleasantly warm.

Thanks everyone.
So it sounds as if it's easily doable to do three different places. Just need to work out if to do Seville cordoba and Granada or Malaga.

I vote for Ronda, the white villages, and the Caminato del Rey. Spectacular and more varied than visiting another city.

You can go to Cordoba for a day trip from both Malaga and Seville and that's enough to see the city.

You can also visit Cadiz and Jerez from Seville easily so that would probably fill a week in Seville with the day trips to the other cities .

There's Arab baths in Seville which would be a good relaxation option. Weather is variable at that time of year, it could be warm, but there's a risk of a storm, last year they cancelled part of the Easter celebrations, which are a huge deal in Spain, due to stormy weather.

There's a train pass that might work for that sort of holiday, look on Seat61 for an explanation.

Andalusia is vast, with so much to see and do, we've visited dozens of times across the area and barely scratched the surface. I'd save Malaga, Granada, Ronda (and/or Mijas), el Caminito del Rey and the coast for another trip because there's another week's holiday for you right there and I've not really mentioned anywhere east of Malaga like Nerja and Las Alpuljarras.

7 nights would be too long in Seville I think. We flew to Seville, then drove to Ronda, Granada and back to Seville.
One of my favourite holidays ever!

We've just come back from Malaga today after a long weekend. Had a great time and weather was warm during the day. In fact this time last night we were still outside on a terrace having drinks. I love Seville though - maybe 7 days is too much. Cadiz, Ronda, Granada.

Cordoba and Granada over Malaga any day.

Definitely Granada. Maybe Cadiz too.

If you rent a car you could drive to Gibraltar, which is definitely fascinating even though we thought it was a bit crap in parts. It's quite funny going into Marks & Spencer on a Saturday, where 95% of the staff and the customers are actually Spanish.

I wouldn't be trekking all the way over to Granada from Seville, that's a whole other holiday. Likewise Malaga and surrounding area.

A week in Seville isn't too long either. You can fill 3 days with trips to Cadiz, Cordoba, Jerez and possibly Gibraltar although that's a bit far for a day trip. Plus all the attractions in the city and just wandering around and relaxing.

It's not possible to see all of Andalusia in a lifetime let alone a week so I wouldn't even try.

We've been at least 20 times and still not seen everything and are still discovering new places of interest.
