Iceland - looking for suggestions for travel companies

I am not quite sure what I am looking for and was hoping someone would be able to help.
I'm planning an Iceland trip with my 18 year old. I would like a driving itinerary with car, hotels/cabins and recommendations for day trips all sorted but to do the travel independently if that makes sense?
Basically I want to pay a travel agent for a 5 day itinerary and tell me where to be and where to go but I do the driving and not in a group!
I am sure there are good companies that do this but struggling to google and as may be obvious I hate searching !
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or recommendations.

You would probably need an incoming travel agency based in Iceland. Put this into Google exactly as I have typed it, including the quotes:

"incoming travel agency" "Iceland"

What about looking on the websites of tour companies who offer trips there - eg intrepid or g adventures - and just copying their route. They usually see the main attractions and you can just tailor it to suit yourself.

Second this recommendation. I've done this successfully when touring Andalucia.

Have you been to Iceland before? It's a big country and in 5 days I think I'd look at a fairly small part of it, eg south west quarter perhaps as far as the glaciers as there's lots to see and do in that area.

I googled south west iceland self guided tour and came up with a few sites that look useful, the first one was:

There's filters for length of trip and summer or winter (important!) and it looks like the sort of thing you'd be looking at. It doesn't mention it on the itinerary, but I'd also include a trip to Heimaey, the small island off the south coast that suffered an eruption in 1973 that destroyed half the main town, which I think was rebuilt elsewhere on the island.

Uncover the best of Iceland with these self-drive tours

Iceland's wonders are waiting for you on the open road

Have you looked at Audley travel? I am pretty sure they do exactly that, this is not a personal recommendation as I usually prefer to sort everything myself as it's cheaper and I enjoy the planning.

if you google "Iceland Self Drive Holidays" you'll get a fair few suggestions for companies, most based in the UK but some in Iceland which will do what you want. We used one of them which was OK, but I'm not sure I'd go as far as recommending them.

But as other posters have said with 5 days you're time is limited and you could probably put together an itinerary yourself and do the booking without too much difficulty and save yourself some money. It will involve booking a flight, a car hire and some nights at a few different hotels. With 5 days you could do probably do the south coast as far as Jokulsarlon (glacier lake) - you'll see the golden circle, black sand beach, glaciers and a fair few waterfalls among other things.

Time of year will be important, the summer season is quite short and outside of that driving conditions can be difficult if you're not used to them. We went last year at the end of May and it snowed quite a lot for a couple of days!

You can do this in really small groups. We went there and had a day with a local in a group of six which was great, but we based ourselves in the capital.

There are loads of local tour guides/companies.

We did just this trip. We booked through Discover the World. They talked to us about what we wanted then worked out an itinerary. We arrived in Rekjavik, had two nights there. Then flew across to the east to Egislsstadir, picked up our hire car then drive the route 1 road round the bottom of Iceland. We stayed in Skaftafell, Hotel Ranga (for the Golden Circle), up to Husafell for a Glacier tour and a hotel with hot spring swimming pools. It was such a great trip - all planned but we had the freedom of driving.
