Caravan parks with WiFi?

My husband has to work away for most of April, I was thinking of taking my little one to a caravan for a few days for a change of scenery. I'd have to work but I can work from anywhere (in the UK or I'd be going somewhere hot!), so I was planning on taking my mum with us and she will entertain my daughter during the day.

We've been to a Haven before and I do think the entertainment is great for kids. But there's no wifi in the caravans, just the public areas.

Does anyone know of any decent caravan parks with lots going on for kids that also has wifi in the caravans? Ideally within 2 hours of Liverpool.

Thanks so much!

Can't you just use your phone hotspot?

I don't think I could rely on that really. At the Haven we went to even the phone signal was awful, so I couldn't have done that there.

Ohh that's such a shame isn't it 😫

Yeah, I'm sure they do it on purpose so you spend less time in the caravan and more time around the park spending money!

Stay in a lodge, they have all had it when we've stayed in one. Search "lodges" on the Hoseasons website. (They are also practiced in the art of the last minute reduction, but please don't tell everyone. 😉)

Could you find one with a wetherspoons local or on site. I'm sure Devon cliffs is having a Wetherspoons on site this year. You could then sit in there with a coffee for a couple of hours.

Thanks, I've stayed in some lovely lodges through Hoseasons but they've all been quite quiet sites. Great for us but not so much for a toddler! I just thought caravan parks would be more likely to have a mini disco etc in the evening for her.

Unfortunately I do have at least a couple of meetings on Teams every day, so wouldn't really want to do them in a Wetherspoons! Thanks for the suggestion though

Maybe find the area you want to go and have a look on Facebook for pages for sites in that area.
I'm on a couple and people advertise their vans and some do have WiFi when you stay with them privately.

Quite a few are options on mixed holiday sites, (I'm thinking for example of Searles in Norfolk, where we had a lovely gold lodge in a little close on site), but I appreciate that's outside the geographical area you gave. Lots of kids entertainment in that site though, for those who needed it.

Puppydog83 · 27/01/2025 21:07

Caravans4hire is a good site aswell.

KnickerlessParsons · 27/01/2025 21:15

Would it be worth buying a small WiFi router?

headstone · 27/01/2025 21:17

Devon hills has Wi-Fi in lodges but only a swimming pool for entertainment.

Lifeisapeach · 27/01/2025 21:23

Avoid haven… never had good experience with them. Parkdean parks have a few things for kids and some are beachfront. Book via air bnb or privately and you’re sure to find some with proper wifi installed at the vans or lodges.

ThePoshUns · 27/01/2025 21:33

Could you rent a privately owned van on a site? They might have their own WiFi

ThePoshUns · 27/01/2025 21:36

I use a TP link in my van to get WiFi with a data only sim.
You could buy one and take it with you.

Woolacombe had decent WiFi, but I'd stay in the lodges rather than the caravans. Gorgeous beach!

WorriedMillie · 29/01/2025 06:35

We’ve stayed at various Haven sites and we always take a Wifi dongle that OH got as an add-on to his phone contract :)

cheesychipsontheoche · 29/01/2025 06:37

Last time we were at Ty Mawr (parkdean) the wifi was decent enough the kids could game on their switch and watch YouTube.

PeskyPotato · 29/01/2025 08:10

Many Parkdean sites have WiFi available at cost in the caravans. So choose a couple of Parkdean and Google to check.

Also probably rented caravans are more likely to have WiFi, so look up owners sites on parks you'd like
