Would you go to Jordan at the moment?

I have an opportunity to visit Jordan with a some friends later this year. One of these friends has family there so she is very familiar with the country. DH is dead set against me going due to what is happening with the war. I've been done some research it seems safe to me, would obviously avoid the no go border areas etc.
Am undecided myself but would love to go and was very excited about it until the war escalated..

Trump has just suggested today that Palestinians be re-located to Jordan… I would watch the news and see how things look later this year. A lot can happen.

Thanks for your input. Will see how things look later in the year.

@RubyShark There is a FCDO advice against travelling to the Syrian Jordan border but nowhere else. Jordan is not at war with anyone. I would keep an eye on government advice but I would definitely go at the moment. What Trump wants regarding Palestinians might not actually happen. Jordan is a peaceful country. It would wholly depend on what area you weee gojng to and what you intended to do.

Just back from a family trip to Jordan and would wholeheartedly recommend going. We had no problems at all and it is such a beautiful, friendly and amazing country. There is so much to see and do and so easy to travel round. I booked flights, hotels and a driver independently and travelled with myself and my 17 yearold daughter as we were visiting my 20 year old son who is out there studying arabic. It has breathtaking landscapes and was so easy to navigate. We started in Amman, then Petra, then a night in wadi Rum glamping, then Aqaba and finally the Dead Sea. One of our best family adventure/relaxing holidays. Something for everyone.

I've been several times during the war for work. Jordan is not at war, is very chilled and actually already hosts a huge number of Palestinians and Syrians. You'll have a great time.
