We have booked for 1st week March
4 nights.
Driving euro tunnel

Tolls : how much are they. Is it cash/card?

Spending: how much would you recommend? Well be eating out but happy if it's fast food , we may just drive to val de Europe for food in the evening?

What's the drive down like? Our tunnel is approx 6am.

Did you take in snacks , i was thinking to do a Tesco shop prior and get things like mini cookies, cereal bars etc to take into the park each day. Also fruit water bottles / similar

Also we want to get the train into Paris. How easy is it.

I've not been abroad for 20 years and not with any dcs so I'm really anxious

Where are you staying ? The toll is around 20 euros each way .There drive is about 3hrs if you don’t rush and very easy . There is a McDonald’s in Disney village , as well as a 5 guys , sandwich place , Annette’s diner , Rainforest cafe and a few other places so a variety of prices . In the park there are quite a few quick serve places , if you want to have a sit down meal book in advance on the Disney App , same for the hotel restaurants . The station is really convenient and easy for getting to Auchan or into Paris , it’s off the main walkway between the Village and the parks .

Hi.
We're staying at Newport Bay
Well have the car to drive to Auchan. But don't want to drive into Paris.

It's fast food we'd want. I have 1 fussy dc and 1 who absolutely isn't keen on sitting in restaurants yet. It's much less stress for quick serve type places.

Would £1200 be enough or more? Dcs will take £150 each..( not sure what that is in euros as haven't changed it yet)

If you look on the website , go to dining / eating and each place has a link to the menu and the prices . As an example Casey’s Corner , Disneyland park does hotdogs , chicken nuggets and fries . Hot dogs are about 11/ 13 euro , fries 4 euro , 9 nuggets about 9/10 euro . Take away but there is also some indoor and outdoor seating .

Don't bother with the bottles of Fruit Shoot or similar. Just take a small squeezy capsule of squash like this www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/308858245?srsltid=AfmBOooN-atA9kyzHaR0ljGFWnorY2epfNbyyik0zJeXjJuo1lzSSeNh and make use of the free water filling stations around the park.
As you're going in March, you're going to want a lot of hot drinks so take insulated water bottles and sachets of hot chocolate and coffee. We always fill up our water bottles with a hot drink first thing in the morning.

We have been twice, 2 days in the park the first time and one day the second time, we grabbed lunch in the park, not in a table service restaurant but one of the quick service ones, and dinner at McDonalds. In my experience queues can be very long at McDonalds, as in it took more than an hour to get served and eat. Colonel Hathi's outpost in the main Disneyland park is good for Mickey shaped pizza. Download the Disneyland Paris app now, and you can see the menus and the prices to give you a guide for food spending. Kids meal deal at Colonel Hathi's is €10 and a an adult meal deal is €17. We normal splurge on some Disney themed snacks like, macarons, biscuits and cake pops, which always look better than they taste.

If you have the time, I would apply for a Monza card or a Halifax clarity card or something similar. Monza is a mastercard debit and you can spend in shops with no foreign currency transaction charges, and withdraw from ATM with minimal fees (often no fees if you find the right bank). Halifax clarity the same, but no ATM withdrawals possible. It will cost you less than changing your pounds into euros in the UK. Have a looking at the article on spending money abroad on the money saving expert website.

Train into Paris is easy, ticket machines at the station at Disney and takes you into Paris in an hour.

Thank you. My bank does a thing where I pay £7 for a week to use card abroad with no fees so we're going to do that.
Have downloaded the app now.

That squeeze juice looks great i'll get that.
We don't drink hot drinks during the day even in the cold so don't think we'll need the insualted cups but great idea

You say 4 nights, how many days in the park is that? And how many people? As a rough guide I estimate we spend in the region of €130/day for 4 people when in the park. That's not included souvenirs. Also we have only been when it's warm and refill water at the free fountains, we don't buy a lot of drinks whilst in the park. I am probably on the low spending side.

4dcsExhaustedMuma · 23/01/2025 20:32

Approx 2 full days in park, 1 Into Paris. Half day on arrival and the day we leave In the park.
4 people
