It's definitely worth it if you can stay for a few days and preferably in a Disney Hotel for early park access. You'll both have to be quite resilient to heat and crowds though. Can you wait until October half term?

Just remember sun cream and hats and constant water breaks, plan well with queues (go to most popular early etc). It is amazing but yes extremely hot and there is an insane amount of steps a day. If you stay in a Disney hotel you can get a shuttle bus back for a break during the day though and there’s a supermarket one train stop away to stock up on water!!

For anyone who has been in July is it ridiculously hot? Average temp online says 24 but not sure on the accuracy of that

I wouldn't go at the end of July because the crowds will be insane. But otherwise it's a wonderful place to go.

We were there July 30th last year, we did an Olympics/Disney/little bit of sightseeing week in France. The day of Disney it was 36 degrees, not really fun. Our kids are not so small any more, so we survived and you can hide in the ac watching shows for a bit. Probably preferable to being sat outside watching rowing and kayaking with no shade, which is what we did the next couple of days when it was almost as hot. That's not your typical July weather though, that was the hottest July day in Paris last year, so really you could get anything weatherwise and it's just luck. The first day we were in Lille it was much cooler and it was 20 degrees in Paris which would have been much better for Disney! You can Google Paris weather July 2024 and see what the actual temperatures were last year.

I’ve been in July and August plenty of times and you can’t really predict the weather .

mitogoshigg · 21/01/2025 15:50

Paris is like London, varies a lot in summer temperature, anything from 16 and drizzle to 40 and scorching sun.
The bigger issue is that it's stupidly crowded and expensive to boot. I went in august a few years back, well 10 now I count! but mine were teens so after a morning of rides, after lunch we took the option of letting them rush around queuing heading instead to the Bavarian bar in the villageGrin

You can't tell what the weather will be like, but if you aren't very tolerant to heat, middle of summer is unlikely to be a good time. We went a few years ago in the May half term and it was pretty warm then, certainly shorts and t shirts and getting a bit sweaty. Perfectly doable though, not extreme heat.

I went end of July last year and the queues were never over 30 mins.

We went end of August in a heat wave one year. It was mid 30s but my kids who’d never been hot before were fine. We did have accommodation with a pool to cool off. We did 2 1/2 days and covered a lot. Worst queue times were about 40 minutes.
