Hello I will try keep this as short as I can but we’re gunna need to go back in time abit so hear goes,
back in 2016 Ss got involved with me n my ex due to dv I signed an agreement which stated he wasn’t allowed at the house where the kids were and could only have supervised visits (not by me and in a public area) these visits never happened and he was in and out of jail for a few year no contact Ss involvement ended after 6 month fast forward since getting out of jail 2 year ago he has seen the kids 3 times supervised as Ss are still stating and getting a new girlfriend which there is dv in that relationship too but to a more serious level Ss do contact as police put a referral in every time he is reported Ss have been super sportive just ringing up to check the situation ect however before Christmas with another phone call from Ss I told them I would stop any future contact which they are completely fine with and said if I do choose to reinstate contact i would need to ring them and let them know so now to get to my point I’ve booked a holiday for me and the kids which he is on the kids birth certificate and in his surname not mine I don’t know what sort of order i got but I really do not want to ask him permission to take the kids abroad I don’t want to open that door of opportunity and also don’t want to face him in court either surely the order that’s in place if I have a right to stop contact even tho he will have parental rights I never went to court for any of it as brought me a piece of paper to sign n I signed it I’m praying it’s a live with order or a child arrangement order so then I don’t need his permission for less that 28 days but I’m not too sure these can be done without the parents having to go to court someone please tell I’m wrong and make my day thank you ( p.s I’m not up to date with the lingo on here after reading a few)
