Does anyone have any good recommendations for hotels in Copenhagen? Looking to go later in the year with husband and 3 kids and trying to work out which ones would suit us. Thanks. X

We have just come back and stayed at the Radisson blu. Slightly outside the centre but on a bus route and metro route from right outside the hotel and also into the centre. Will you be restricted by how many rooms you need?

if money no object then the one in Tivoli gardens, the Nimb.

We have also just been and stayed in Hotel Bethel in Nyhavn. The location was fantastic, apart from going to and from the airport on the metro, we just walked everywhere. I think they may do family rooms.

The bedrooms themselves were clean and adequate but not huge or luxurious.

We stayed in the Villa Copenhagen. It's opposite the train station and overlooking Tivioli Gardens. There's a rooftop swimming pool which is small but very nice.

We stayed at The Tivoli hotel when we went. It was fab. Loads of facilities for children and the location was great.

I’d second the Tivoli. Good breakfast, nice pool, well placed for trams, buses and trains.

When we took the kids we stayed in a brilliant hostel called Urban House - great location and the kids loved it! 6 bed room so used spare bunk for cases etc

One double for us and 4 bunks

Yup, us too. 3 kids. Interconnecting rooms. Surprisingly hard to find!! Great service, location, rooms, food etc.

(interconnecting rooms hard to find/book, the hotel isn’t hard to find 😄)

Thanks for all the suggestions. Sitting down with a cuppa and about to research them all. Xxx

Me and a friend are going this year for the first time and are staying at Hotel Tiffany. They have family roooms but for a maximum of 4. The rooms all have a mini kitchenette. As its such an expensive city, our plan is to get a takeaway to the room rather than eating out in the evening. It's also only 5 mins from central train station, with metro practically outside the front of the hotel.

VelvetCoconut · 08/01/2025 22:50

Just to say we didn't find it that expensive to eat. Comparable to any other city break we've been on.
We weren't fine dining by any means, but we ate well and came home with plenty of money left over.

We've booked to stay at the Andersen Boutique hotel when we go in August. Breakfast included and wine hour between 5-6pm - I'm very excited by that! 😆

We stayed in ProfilHotels Mercur in a "Superior King Room Four" which was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. There would have been space for a cot as well but I'm not sure the age of your DC.

@Rimtimtagidimdim We have stayed there. We found it handy for restaurants in the Meatpacking area. However you might need to be aware of sexy lingerie shops nearby the hotel and the drug consumption centre in the Meatpacking area. It’s fairly obvious.

Thanks @TizerorFizz, I'd seen some mention of that in the reviews but most said it wasn't a huge problem. Did you feel safe enough? Travelling with a 7 year old so expect us to be in bed most nights for 10pm

TizerorFizz · 09/01/2025 09:02

@Rimtimtagidimdim Yes. It’s safe but there are some people hanging around who are a bit ? But no different to London. It is a bit of a shame as the area overall is good. Metro is handy and the Designers Guild fabric used in the hotel makes it feel design led. We found staff friendly and helpful.
