It's the main reason we are going to Paris so would be gutted to miss it!

We went in the summer and wanted to book before we went but no slots available as they were delaying the release with the Olympics due to start the following month. We decided we were going to go first thing the Sunday morning but we were in the area on the Saturday and the queue was only about 30 mins.

Yes it's 2 months in advance. Make sure you definitely book tickets if you really want to go up the Eiffel Tower - we didn't realise you still have to queue up to get in even if you buy tickets ahead of time. I dread to think how long the people who didn't buy tickets in advance were waiting!

I have been checking every few days for our April trip and one website is 3 months ahead. So today you can book up to 7th April but now I don't trust it so will only book via the official Eiffel Tower website which is 60 days!

I feel like they also release more tickets exactly a week before, I booked on the 18th Oct to visit on the 25th October. Our flights were not booked until 21st September, so I guess I missed the release 60 days beforehand. Maybe worth checking if that is still the case by looking at a week from now and seeing what's available versus say 10 days time. Paris was lovely, but a bit of a nightmare with regards to having to pre-book lots of stuff like the catacombs, Versailles, Louvre entry, so that very much dictates your day. If you are going in low season it may be much better from that perspective. If doing museums the Paris pass was quite cost effective.

I would also recommend the Montparnasse tower. Fabulous views of Paris including the Eiffel Tower. We booked but not sure if necessary as wasn't very busy (February).
