Do I need any vaccines to go to Thailand? Online has confusing information. I am going end of January. Thanks

Potentially yes, depends entirely on your record but none are compulsory so many people don't bother. Speak to the nurse at your GP clinic, any you need should be free (have always been for us). We had Hep A and typhoid.

In addition to vaccines, depending which part you go to, you might consider rabies pre-travel vaccines along with malaria. We went to Koh Chang several years ago and malaria was recommended if we'd been hiking in the hills- which we weren't planning to do.
Go to a travel clinic (sometimes within pharmacies) ASAP, if you are only leaving in 3 weeks!

I am going to Bangkok and Phuket. I had no idea about vaccines until my mother mentioned. The gp receptionist didn't know which ones to have. They said they'll print out a list of anll the vaccines I've had and to take it to a travel pharmacy.

My son had to fill in a form at the GP and they got back to him recommending what he should have. The ones he had were free at the GPs. He did it with three weeks to go.

Nothing is mandatory for Thailand. If you are staying in main tourist areas and cities I wouldn't bother. We have been to Thailand including Bangkok and Phuket many times and never bothered with vaccines. If you are staying very remote and rural I would consider it though. Enjoy!! It's fab!!
