which lightweight buggy to buy

we are off on our hols soon and need to take a buggy for each of our children. we only have a little renault clio and we're off to france camping so we'll need to take quite a lot of stuff generally. can anyone recommend a compact lightweight holiday stroller at all as i have no idea what to get? bearing in mind we have to buy 2 and will prob only use them for hols, i don't really want to buy anything majorly pricey, though am more than happy to buy second hand so if there's a cracker thats a bit pricey i could check it out.
thanks

Have u thought about the terrain u'll be on if ur camping u may need to get an all terrain pushchair? Could u manage buying a double pushchair? If u could there is an umbrella folding tandem, think it's called duosport or something it'd be cheaper than buying 2 at £160 (roughly) and would take up less room than two as it's small when folded but quite long.

have recently bought the petite star zia....fab!! like quinny zapp but not as pricey! fab colour, folds right back, great foot muff and drives perfectly!! cannot recommend it hightly enough!!

Ooh, K999 I'm trying to decide between the Zapp and the Zia!

How old are the children? Could one of them go in a sling/backpack?

dd2 is 14 months but tbh wish I had bought it ages ago! have had a chicco and a hauck and they were rubbish compared to this.....it is light, easy to manouvre, folds up very small.....i am not usually a buggy person but this is fab!!! my friend has a quinny which she is going to sell so that she can buy a Zia!!

we already have mutsy spider, which i think has a similar folding mechanism to the zapp and zia. i've an idea that they cost more than i'd been looking to pay as i do need to buy 2 - i checked them out on ebay a while ago and they were fetching a fair old price it think - given that i have already got a mutsy urban rider (barely used, really must get around to selling it!) and the duoseat (used twice, ditto), a maclaren techno (brilliant, if only it folded a little bit smaller), maclaren twin traveller (takes up the wole boot) and a mutsy spider (not bad as our all terrain stroller, but i wouldn't but another). i really think i am looking for something cheap and cheerful but safe and comfy as we'll prob not use them again for yonks given that i love my maclaren so and the ball and chain is a big fan of the spider (well it's a bit more blokey isn't it).

my two are 22 months and 6 months, so sling isn't really an option, plus it'll prob get a bit hot for both of us.

Probably you've already bought one & are away on holiday LOL but I'll mention this anyway just in case, or if anyone else is looking for a lightweight buggy!

We've got 2 of these:
cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-wheel-buggy-ALU-small-and-light-BAMBINO-WORLD-new-g_W0QQitemZ230253815052

I know they're slightly unusual, but they fold up ultra small and weigh about 3.5kg, if I remember correctly. They have a small carry handle built in, so if you need to fold & carry them, it's hardly different to a handbag! We have about the smallest car available, and when we got away for weekends with our two little ones, we can fit the both of them in with lots of other bags etc. So would recommend! Some go for quite high prices on eBay, but I've seen a few get away very cheap (as Bambino World have several ending every day, so plenty of chance to try & get a bargain). I think ours were just under/around 30 quid including postage from Austria/Germany.
