Does this actually exist?!

Hiya - desperately looking for a holiday and loosing the will 🙃 Has anyone been or found a hotel (anywhere in Europe) matching this criteria:

  • budget - £3k for two adults and child
  • transfer from airport 30mins or less
  • pools that aren’t freezing in May
  • plenty to do for a 4 year old.. decent water slides, mini disco etc
  • Either interconnecting rooms or apartment type with separate lounge so we have somewhere to go of an evening when he’s 😴
  • preferably near a beach but not essential
  • all inclusive

is that too much to ask… 😂?

There's hundreds of resorts like that in Turkey , have a look at liberty hotels - we like the one in Fetiye

Overthemoun · 01/01/2025 16:15

Barceló fuerteventura in caleta de fuste

BusyPoster · 01/01/2025 16:25

When you found some contenders check if the pools are heated.

Check out this Holiday: Barcelo Lanzarote Active Resort at Costa Teguise, Lanzarote

I am looking for almost this exact thing, higher budget (but also a second DD). The connecting rooms/two rooms thing is the issue I keep coming up against. Places with villas or apartments tend to only have a 'proper' swimmer's pool, so not as fun for the toddler. Eurocamp style has more options for accommodation with different rooms but then we'd have to cater and cook, which we don't want to do, at least not for every meal. If I could find somewhere that combines static caravan/villa/apartment with at least half-board and kids pool and entertainment...

@Overthemoun these seem to only be one bedroom, no?

This is liberty fabay I believe, we were there in October. One of the most amazing hotels we have ever been to. It had so much to do and the 2 year old to the 70 year old in our group all had the best time.

poppetandmog · 02/01/2025 12:41

We have found that booking a suite with a separate bedroom living room works well, as it means we have a bit of a space in the evening.

CamelByCamel · 02/01/2025 12:43

Has it got to be an outdoor warm pool? If you'd go for somewhere with an unheated outdoor and heated indoor that would widen the options.

Twlight1 · 02/01/2025 13:22

Thank you for all the suggestions! The Liberty hotels look fab, although for the dates and room type I want a little over budget. I have found Tui Blue Palm Garden seems to tick most boxes (except transfer time which is an hour). Trip advisor reviews are some of the best I have seen.

Aqueora suites in Lanzarote ticks the boxes.

stanleypops66 · 02/01/2025 14:06

The TUI holiday villages are good all round value. We had a one bed apartment in Majorca.

2 bedrooms plus a lounge is much more difficult to find!! One bedroom with a sofa bed in the lounge is easier, but they often stick you all in one room which sounds awful!

if you search for a family of 4 adults and 2 kids then filter to AI, it’ll give you the options there.

I was sticking to the canaries as it’s for May time but that’s how I searched anyway

Ah thank you! I didn't think of putting 4 adults and 2 kids, that's a smart way of getting an idea for hotels with the right rooms.

beakyboo10 · 02/01/2025 14:57

@Overthemoun We stayed at the Barcelo Fuerteventura Castillo in last July and loved it. The only downside was the splash park was only open when the kids club was open.

Apparently the Barcelo Corralejo Sands is also an excellent hotel (if you fancy Fuerteventura). I have to say that the Barcelo hotels do have amazing kids clubs.

Overthemoun · 02/01/2025 15:02

We were also there in July and loved it! The weather was so good and thought the hotel and AI were great too.

we didn’t miss the splash pool as found that the pool was quite accessible for little ones and you could mix it up by using the pool at the sister hotel next door. We found the bungalow spacious. We didn’t love caleta but if you were only going for a week you could just enjoy all things in the hotels!

JennyPenny222 · 02/01/2025 15:37

Protur safari in mayorca, we went a few years back but was super kid friendly, apartments so no sneaking around at night, little mini farm, lots of little pools. Lovely and quiet when we went in May!

Mumtumtastic · 02/01/2025 16:03

HD Parque Cristobal resort in Gran Canaria was great, would recommend!

We actually travelled in April a few years ago and weather was lovely, sunny and hot (but not too hot) everyday.

All inclusive buffet is good (not amazing, but few AI buffets are) but good and varied selection and fresh. We stayed in a little family suite which are like mini bungalows spread across the resort which is nice and grassy with connecting paths and well maintained. So they were like garden bungalows.

We had 2 bedrooms so 4 year old had their own and it also had a separate lounge area which was nice to relax in the evenings. The only access door (from the lounge) opened out onto a little terrace with sunbeds so we sat out there when DC was down in the evening as they were secure.

The accommodation we booked was this:
Family Suite Emblem
2 Adults, 1 child (age(4)
All Inclusive

They had a couple of nice pools, they must have been heated as I don’t recall them being cold, (and I would remember this, am a wuss! 😂) we paddled/ swam most days. Kids entertainment, friendly staff. They have a supermarket onsite in the resort, which was really handy as you need to buy bottled water. They had a little fridge, can’t remember if they had a cooker but they had a nice little kitchenette so may have done. Close to nice family friendly beaches. We would return!

We went here in the summer - great hotel. Highly recommended.

we went with Jet2 ‘experience more’ where you got unlimited access to Siam Park which we used five times in ten days. And the holiday was cheaper than if we had booked it without that extra added on… guessing at the hotel assumed you’d be out for most of the day so not eating and drinking as much?

Does it have to be Europe? Would recommend Tunisia if not. Only 3 hour flight from the UK.

MabelMaybe · 02/01/2025 16:43

Butlins? You didn't say it had to be abroad, and no airport / flights with young children. It meets all your other criteria - your 4 year old will love it, they're situated near beaches, chalets have sitting rooms and you can get decent all inclusive meal packages.
