Hi all. Going to Marrakech for the first time this Easter. What do you recommend I see and do?
I’m a bit worried about being harassed by monkey and snake handlers and henna artists. How do I avoid that?

Don't go away from tourist areas, cover up, dress more modest than you think

Monkey, henna and snake people are in the big square, so plenty to do around that and it’s worse at night.
Avoid-Yves St Laurent museum, one gallery of 70s and 80s gowns. But the film is good. Friends went to Jardin Majorelle which they said was beautiful. Need to book. Watch out for people being helpful if you get lost, we did and two guys got very insistent that we give them 10 euros each.(we didn’t)
If you have asthma take your inhaler, the motorcycle fumes set me off something terrible. And watch out for motorbikes, they are everywhere including in the souk. Be aware the airport doesn’t have online check in so you have to get paper check in printed. The hotel or Riad will do it.
Its pretty safe as far as pick pockets are concerned, just keep everything safe and close. Comfy shoes, you’ll walk miles. I actually felt pretty safe, never alone, but it’s not as hassly as say Sharm el Sheikh, no cat calling, no unwanted touching. If you want to go somewhere a distance away, ask the hotel or riad to book a taxi. They sort prices out and can even stick it on your Bill.
Ben youssef Madrasa is well worth a look, absolutely beautiful.
