Is anyone able to please recommend some hotels or at least the best places to stay in Berlin? it's for three nights (coming in late first night from UK) and for an ault and teen. Needs to be close to the centre as we only have two days and DD is autistic (so finds travel a bit stressful). Walking is good where possible. Thank you for any (and all!) help.

Just to update this, I’ve booked the Novotel in Mitte. I chose it mostly based on price and location, as well as the fact that it’s a 4 star. I got a very good deal for paying upfront, which I would never usually do. Glad to see a positive review here because some of the Tripadvisor ones were a bit worrying. Although with city hotel breaks, we’ll only really be sleeping there

Enjoy your trip, OP!

There is a Premier Inn near Aleksanderplatz which is nice.

I highly recommend the Sandemans 2 hour walking tour of Berlin, it starts at the Brandenberg gate. It was the best thing we did in Berlin and my teen was totally engaged by the v knowledgable guide for the whole 2 hours . It's 'free' but you give a 'tip' at the end.
