Accommodation near Phantasialand

We tend to choose our holiday destinations in the vicinity of a theme park. We've done Duinrell, Efteling and Europa Park so far. Next summer we were thinking of trying Phantasialand. Does anyone have any accommodation recommendations nearish to Phantasialand?

We generally book a static caravan or a lodge and like the site to have a pool. We drive, so are looking for somewhere within around an hours travel from the theme park. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Just came on here to say we're off to Phantasialand tomorrow for a few days; our second time, and it is absolutely fantastic. Really looking forward to going back. Can't recommendn earby accommodation as we're staying on site , but it is a brilliant theme park so enjoy if you do go next year. We're also staying one night in Cologne as it is so close.

Hi. We are thinking of doing Europa - would you recommend? We've only done Efteling and Disneyland so far. Is Europa really busy?

Absolutely. We had so much fun at Europa Park. There can't be many theme parks where you look out from the ride you're on and see a staff member in traditional clothing herding geese across the park - I think we were in the Austria section!
The park is huge. We had two days at Europa and one day at their water park, Rulantica, which I would also recommend.

ETA it is busy, but not as bad as UK theme parks or Disney. If you go early/stay late that makes a huge difference, but I don’t remember queuing for more than 40 minutes for a ride.
We did queue for a while for FoodLoop, but that was so much fun. I'd definitely recommend it.

We did 2 days in Europa Park in August 2023, high season and the temperature was over 30 degrees so as someone who hates heat and crowds I was dreading it...but it was fantastic. So many rides everywhere you look. Queues really well managed, the longest was 40 minutes for Silverstar which is one of the big rides. Most were far less. Lots of shade, so many refreshments and food stands and restaurants which were really reasonably priced. I'm sure it was only about 3 euros for an ice cream. Really impressive even at peak times. I also really recommend Phantasialand and Hansa Park. The German theme parks are excellent and outperform Alton Towers by miles in every area,.queues, rides, theming,.food and drinks.

Thank you both. Trying to find something for August this year for us to do and we loved Efteling and how much calmer it was to Disney especially considering we went during school holidays.
