Lion King - where's the best place to sit?

Am hoping to take my daughter to see the Lion King in June. Tickets are available from cheap (£30) to top price (£60) - any advice about the best place to sit?

Yes.
Far far away from any theatre showing it.

DD2 wanted to see it and I was planning on taking her. Is it really bad? Thought it would be OK.

I've only heard great reviews about it - am looking forwards to going.

we loved it! paid over the odd for top price tickets last minute (last feb) only tickets left were low price and said might be restricted view! so had second row back on first balcony just to the left of centre! FAB! got to see all the show and when things come out into audicane they also came right past us! get the best you can afford, you won't regret it! enjoy!

It's brilliant. At the start the animals come through the stalls to get onto the stage. But it doesn't matter if you are stalls or above, as you would get great view from balcony too.

What age are your kids? My Hubby and I adore this show and cant wait to take our LO. He is 3 - a bit too young?

Went last night with 6 and 8 year old. We had an aisle seat in the stalls so animals came right past us. 6 yaer old was a little scared when hyena laughed in his face but thought it was fab. I know 3 year olds who have enjoyed it but think aisle seats would be overwhelming for them.

I loved this show, its the best I have seen. I would reccommend sitting in the stalls and try and get an aisle seat as the animals go passed you.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant.

I would go top price tickets definately, the cast (animals) came down to the stalls, £60 seats, that was really good, any other seats I felt like I was missing out. Some are so high up that unless you are right at the front of the balcony I think the view could be restricted.

Its fantastic have a good time

Anywhere would be a good view I think. If you can get an aisle seat you will be next to some of the cast as they walk to the stage. But then again I imagine looking from a height would also be good.

I am took DC to see it a few years ago and it was amazing.

islandofsodor · 11/05/2008 22:27

We sat at the back of the stalls (£35 tickets) however we got a group discount so got them for £22.50.

It was brilliant, amazing choreography and costumes and the music and harmonies were spot on.

we went with the westend's Kids Week and got tickets cheap and with a workshop thingy before show. It was excellent and we can now speak Zulu (well when I say we can speak it, we can say here come the lion and the leopard with its spots )

Very handy phrase to know
