Transatlantic with 9m old baby & formula

I need tips! We are traveling to the west coast of the USA this month with our two boys 7yrs and 9m baby. I'm not worried about the older one but I guess I'm not sure how to pack for the baby. We are visiting family and I've sorted at travel cot and high chair at our destination as well as a HBB for older DS.

My biggest concern I think is formula and food for the baby. My older DS was breastfed so I haven't had to navigate this before. I read on here that you can preorder rtf formula to pick up at the airport but I'm not sure if we can do that in Ireland? We are flying from Leeds to dublin and then staying overnight in a hotel and then flying from dublin to la the next day. We have a nuby rapid cool so I was wondering about bringing pots of formula and then asking for boiling water? I read somewhere that if you have the rtf formula they might make us open the bottles at security which defeats the point I think.

Can you get pouches of baby food through security?

Also, how many diapers to pack etc? Anything to make the flight better?

TIA!

Order RTF and food pouches to pick up airside in Dublin before your transatlantic flight if your worried about security.

Most airports allow you to take through enough milk and food to last the duration of the flight

It's been ages since I flew a baby, but I recall one time departing from Manchester they made me open every second sachet of baby food and taste it, so only half was then good for the journey and the other half had to be replaced in Boots airside. I don't think it ever happened anywhere else, and we travelled a lot, but it's always a risk.

Pack more nappies and formula than you think you'll need, in case of delays. I'd also recommend scented nappy bags and the 5ml sachets of Calpol.

Oh yes, the calpol sashes are a good shout.

What's the best way to pack the car seat???
