Hi all,

For my 30th birthday that's tomorrow woo I've decided to book a long weekend away but I'm not sure where:

I can do any month apart from May and September but don't have much preference or a budget really.

Just wondering where's lovely for a long weekend.

Thank you

Florence & Rome would be on my list.

Santa Elulia, Ibiza.

Budapest by FAR.

I've been twice and I'd go again.

Loads to see and do. Lovely weather, nice people and food. Also significantly cheaper than Rome/Paris etc.

There are parks everywhere you go, it's a very green city.

Enjoyed Malaga, Alicante, Rome, Palma, Dubrovnik, Barcelona, Paris, Copenhagen, Valencia, Budapest, Reykjavik, Vienna. Munich next month and Lisbon in January. Any of those?
By far my favourite has been Seville ❤️

Beware: I went to Lisbon in February and it was the coldest holiday I have ever experienced.

Rome or Venice.

Love Barcelona and Paris but disappointing food.

Can’t beat Italy for grub.

Rome if you are short of time. Loads of flights ( cheap) and a short transfer that has a set price into the city walls.
Everywhere you are has something amazing to look at. Literally an ancient city and so different to most others.
Loads of hotels, easily walkable to everything.

If you want a swimming pool at the hotel though, go to Barcelona.

Strasbourg was lovely and easy travel on Eurostar

Just back from three nights/ two days in Seville, flight from Gatwick. Around 23 degrees over the first week of November. A really beautiful city, fabulous food, wonderful architecture.

Ah Seville hands down. DH and I went for his birthday earlier in the year. We stayed 3 nights, right in the Barrio Cruz (the old Jewish quarter.) Cobbled streets, balmy temperatures, lovely tapas, stunning architecture. We just wandered around soaking up the atmosphere and stopping where fancy took us.

We flew out from Gatwick and it was a quick flight, just 2 hrs. I managed to drag DH to a flamenco show one evening and it was amazing. The dancers were incredible.

Ww stayed in Casa 1800 which was simply lovely, with a beautiful view over to the cathedral lit up at night and a rooftop pool. Utter bliss

We are booking to go again soon! The tapas tours are worth it as they take you around all the really good bars that you’d miss otherwise

So many excellent destinations already mentioned. Many I've been to and many I plan to go to!
I went to Porto earlier this year and adored it. Beautiful, interesting, great food and drink. You can get an old fashioned tram along the river to the beach. One of my favourite city breaks ever. We went in June and the weather was glorious.
