Hello,

Can anyone recommend a case that fits into the cage as a free carry on/under seat bag for easyJet.

I am looking for a pull along hard case small suitcase not a holdall but I'm worried as so many I see online im unsure if the handles will fit due to dimensions etc and reviews conflicting

Any one have something that works?

Thank you!!

We found a few on Amazon but we ended up going with rucksacks just to be sure. The ones at bought we fitted in enough clothes, shoes etc for 3 days away with room to spare.

Maddy70 · 28/10/2024 08:25

The ones on wheels are too big. A small backpack is as big as youll get for underseat.

The large wheeled cases can go in overhead but male sure thats what youve booked!

The problem with something that size is that the wheels and handle of a pull along would take up quite a lot of space leaving hardly any room for your clothes etc.

If a hard case, you also lose the ability to squash down if there's a sticky out bit under the seat.

I use a rucksack and packing cubes if travelling only with the small cabin bag. Get a good one with organiser pockets for all your electronics, water bottle, passport etc and it's probably the easiest way to travel.

Try googling this, OP:

Aerolite MiniMAX (45x36x20cm) Easyjet Maximum Cabin Under Seat Carry On Suitcase with Backpack and Pouch

We saw people use them getting on a EasyJet flight last month. They had them checked by the Gate person and had to demonstrate that they fitted in the 'under seat' smaller slot contraption, and they fitted just fine (to my surprise).

They also have back straps as well as little wheels and regular handles.

Thanks both I have seen some on Amazon.

I have got rucksacks etc I'm just looking for a pull along due to health reasons even if it's tiny

I had that one for easyJet this last summer, perfect size for under the seat.

But they are really tiny.

You get far more stuff in something like this

With the free underseat bag they do not allow any other bag. Not a small cross body bag for phone, passport, cards: it has to fit inside the hand luggage and be stored when you go through the gate. Ok if you have big pockets, major pain if you have to open a wheelie case.

I have the aerolite Minimax posted above and it’s perfect. DH has a similar Tripp one but the Minimax seems to be at a permanent sale price

Juicymango · 28/10/2024 09:39

The one I have it is tiny as that's the correct size for under the seat, I needed one with wheels as I don't like carrying one on my shoulder, got the same one for my 8 year old DD.

RugBugs · 28/10/2024 09:51

I took 5 kids to Iceland over the summer with just small carry on with easyJet.
Used a combination of Tripp cases and flight knight (they both do the correct size).
The flight knight ones were better as Tripp ones have handles on the side so have to bend down to pick them up and the pull out handles aren’t nearly as sturdy.
Got ours for £40 on amazon and lots of colours, absolutely best luggage buy we’ve got in years and we’ve used them to travel across UK on train a couple times since.

Jellyslothbridge · 28/10/2024 09:53

Re cross body bag - I usually make sure it is the size of a large coat pocket so it could fit into my rain jacket pocket if needed. I have not been challenged so far.
One thing to note - airlines are discussing standadising sizes across different airlines so they may change again.
