Booking Child/ Infant plane seats: Child turns 2 whilst abroad

Hi. We are trying to book return flights with Easyjet for our family but cannot get through to their customer services department for clarification: Our daughter turns 2 the day before we want to fly back but we don't know whether to book her as a child or infant. We don't mind paying for a seat for her but it does say somewhere on the easyjet website that if you book a "child" ticket for an infant, then they will not be allowed to board the plane. Can anyone offer advice about this? Thanks

As a child because she is 2 by the date of return.

has to be as child - have (unfortunately!) done this twice

You pay by age on return trip. Might be worth looking to book the flights as 2 single trips then she could be an infanton outward leg at least, to see if you would save much.

You need to talk to Easyjet in person. It must be different for every airline as I used to travel frequently with DS under 2 and would always book a seat for him with no problems with BA. He had to sit on my lap for take off and landing and I had extra room and somewhere to sit him down!!

If they turn 2 by return date or on return date, you pay a child fare (ie pay for a seat)
They no longer are classed as an infant.
