Horsey Gap - seeing the seals end of Sept

Hi, I'm off to Caister-on-sea Haven park in a few days with my DH, DS and Mum. My mum has mentioned the seals at Horsey Gap, but I wanted to ask what the beach / sand was like there? I had read somewhere that it's deep, and you have to walk quite far to see the seals. Has anyone been this time of year before, and if so, is the best place to park? Thank you!!

Horsey gap has its own car park. I can’t speak for this time of year but we went at the end of July and the tide was in and it was a bit stony, the water was cold so only had a quick paddle but last year when we went it was absolutely gorgeous the sea was warm so we had a good swim and it was really shallow everyone was walking quite far out in the water and it was still only coming up just past our knees the sand under the water was very soft (no stones and ripples in the sand, and the water was as clear as anything) that was the best day we had on holiday last year beautiful beach. Have fun x

It's got its own car park.

The seals go anywhere along that coastline so it's hard to predict how far you'll need to walk.

We saw some in June this year in the sea right by the entrance from the car park, and in September a couple of years ago there were dozens on the next section of beach
