Best all-inclusive holiday you've had

We are looking to book our summer holiday for next summer.
Really want to do an all inclusive because past two years holidays have not been a holiday for me!
Last time we did one was to Liberty Lykia in Turkey and it was amazing. Just looked at booking that again and it's coming up for £11k for 10 nights.
I just don't think I can justify that amount ( making me sad because I want to go!)
I dont want to go somewhere that feels like a jail or only serves bland canteen style food.
I would lo love to go somewhere that is over looking the sea as a bonus!!!

Could you tell me what your best all inclusive holiday has been and if it was good value for money?

Xcaret Hotel in Mexico. Best ever, includes access to 7 parks from Cenotes to Natural
water parks. Incredible hotel, beautiful grounds, about 6 al a carte restaurants including hibatchi, thai and vegan. Not cheap but so so worth it!

Wow thanks everyone for your suggestions, lot to look at. I think that whatever we do the final cost is going to be huge simply because I have lots of children 😄
I do like self catering but I can't help but tidy up or wash up or put washing on its like I have an inbuilt housekeeper mode that doesn't switch off, which is why I want to go somewhere and not have to do the tasks I do at home!! I actually think a lot of the time self catering doesn't always work out that much cheaper when you factor in ice creams ,drinks throughout the day and then evening meals, which is why I think AI do work for us as a large family xxx

Hi Peachey, we're booked to go to Liberty Lykia in July. Do you recommend? What are the sports facilities like? Really need a football pitch and basketball court for 2 active teens. Thanks.

PeacheyPeach · 23/05/2025 20:07

@Springhare76 hey there, aww you will have an amazing time. They do have a football academy with sessions every day. I can't recall basketball but they do have volleyball which was popular when we were there.
Have an amazing time 💞

Pine Bay Resort, Kusadasi. The only place we ever went twice.

Booksaresick · 07/07/2025 09:58

Olympic Lagoon Resort Ayia Napa , I would happily return with my kids. Couldn’t fault them.

Cyprus Atlantico Mare, amazing swim up rooms.
St Lucia Windjammer resort. Sublime, peaceful with the best, laid back vibes and staff were amazing

Yuja · 07/07/2025 16:03

Another vote for Letoonia, Fethiye. Amazing place

Grand Bavara Princess in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We stayed in the family section and it was perfect, separate pools and restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and felt quieter than rest of the (large, spread out) site. Fantastic à la carte restaurants. We’ve done AI in Mexico and Turkey, but this one was a cut above.

Green nature diamond in Marmaris, Turkey 😍 beautiful hotel, stunning at night! I'd love to go back again next year which is always a good sign! Great location, food and entertainment. Kids club was great too.

I stayed here over 10 years ago and we loved it! Fond memories. Probably changed a lot since but I was expected to see it mentioned.

Couples Swept Away resort in Negril, Jamaica. The food was to die for.

Dizzybob · 10/07/2025 07:29

Nana golden beach in Crete. Right next to the sea and it was a brilliant hotel for us with an onsite waterpark.

PeonyPatch · 10/07/2025 07:30

Grecotel Amirandes, Crete. Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Delicious food.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 10/07/2025 07:47

We just come back from a P&O cruise in the Mediterranean on the Arvia.

We were just saying how good the customer service was which is so unusual in this day and age.

The food was excellent and we loved every minute of it.

Did my first small ship cruise this year and was amazing- much nicer than Ikos- and I love IKOS

Can you tell us what one you did please @Toomuchrose

DaisyChain505 · 10/07/2025 12:20

Xcaret Mexico for families or Xcaret Arte just for adults. All of the main parks in the area are owned by them and included in your stay.

It’s really amazing.
