USA entry requirements (urgent)

We've just booked a holiday to florida and added a car etc but DH has just reminded me that late last year he was arrested for dangerous driving (no charges have been brought). Is this likely to prevent him from being allowed entry? and what about the car?

I think it means that he will need to apply for a visa, rather than being able to enter under the visa waiver programme. Shouldn't affect the car unless charges are brought.

www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/niv/add_crime.html

You need to read this, particularly the middle sections.

When are you going on holiday?.

He will need to apply for a visa (he will need to make an appointment and visit the US Embassy to do so).

Have a look at this page - it shows you the questions that are asked on the VWP form:

And this one:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_turpitude

Reckless driving is a crime of moral turpitude so he would be ineligible to use the visa waiver program.

He would need to apply for a B2 visa, and may need the assistance of a lawyer (I can't tell without looking at the form).

Arrests don't have to take place in the USA, btw.
