Where have you been this year?

We haven't been able to have a family holiday yet, our sons are 3 and 4 and I can't remember the last time hubby and I were away.

Starting to look for a holiday for the 4 of us for next year, I can't go without one any longer.

Looking for an all inclusive, family friendly with good kids clubs, activities etc but also somewhere we can have some adult time separately and together.

Where have you been this year that might fit the bill that you'd recommend?

Not a criticism but Out of interest why do you want all inclusive with kids that age? Would work out cheaper to get a good apartment complex or villa complex with kids clubs and pools etc- and eat out every night- and have drinks and beers in your fridge etc -or I would be looking at something maybe like mark warners

Places we've been to that fit the bill (all inc and kids clubs):
Turkey
Portugal
Various Canary Islands
Dubai (wouldn't put first on the list)
Jamaica but nay be too far / too costly
Alicante

No all inc or kids clubs in the hotels we stayed in:
Croatia
Albania

I was going to say calagaldana in menorca as just easy. But we didn't go for kids clubs so no idea if any.

I used to look on I escape with kids.com pre pandemic.... not sure if it's survived but was great

We've just come back from staying here in Croatia: www.maistra.com/properties/family-hotel-amarin/#/

Totally geared towards the kids but plenty of adult things to do like the spa, paddle boarding, cycling etc. It is only Full Board rather than All Inclusive but drinks weren't overly expensive.

Purely because I do not want to have to wash up or cook in any way shape or form.

I think AI is so much easier with young kids. Especially if fussy with food, it saves ordering a meal in a restaurant and then running the risk of them not liking it. With AI they can sample a few different things.
Plus snacks and ice cream included.

Crikeyalmighty · 02/09/2024 09:43

@Marshmallowbrain ok - I get that - I wouldn't discount anywhere that's half board though as you still wouldn't have to do that - just grab food out at lunch- some of the nicest places aren't all AI - just my view of course

Comedycook · 02/09/2024 09:46

I would definitely go AI...even when we went half board we ended up spending quite a bit on snacks and endless drinks that DC were asking for. It really added up. Went ai this year and so much easier for them to help themselves to drinks and ice cream.

If in Europe, I've found that Türkiye offers the best value and quality for all inclusive.
