Routine in Thailand with a 21 month old - October 24

Hi all!

so I'm going to Thailand with my other half and little boy in October.

I am pretty rigid around routine (which sometimes I love and sometimes I hate lol) and love knowing that my little boy has consistent nap times and bed times etc. Whilst we are away, I want to be able to try and relax and enjoy the holiday without stressing about routine. I want to go out late with him and let him see the streets and restaurants in the evening with us. But how do I do this?! Without him being overtired? He doesn't love a pram nap and is such a vampire so loves the dark for sleep (with white noise as well 🤪)

Current routine is:
wake: 6.30am
lunch at 11/11.30
lunchtime nap 12-2
bedtime 7pm

any help on this would be so appreciated because I'm already stressed about it 😄

6.30am in Thailand is 12.30am in the UK, so any routine is going to go out of the window. It takes some people days to get over jet lag for that kind of time difference. I think you're just going to have to be very relaxed about it (sorry, that's not much help. Hopefully someone else will have some advice)😁

Holidays have always just been different! Get a snooze shade and do an extra nap, it might go in your favour to have more, short pram naps. Enjoy!

I found that after 2 days of pram napping, they do get into that new routine!

You do what you want to do and he goes along with the flow, naps whenever and wherever he happens to be at the time and it will all work out fine. We have found the only thing to be consistent on is make sure they are well fed and don’t get hungry even if it’s not a time you would normally feed your dc
