Where is warm in February for a special birthday?

It’s my ‘big’ birthday in February and I would love to wake up somewhere warm and a bit more exotic than the north of England! Can anyone please recommend anywhere for a week that will be warm (I’m not too fussed if it’s not hot) but also suitable for our just-turned 3YO to tag along with us, too?

@FrenchandSaunders Are the pools/resorts open in feb? We're thinking of where to go in feb and are thinking of Tenerife but I was wondering if things were open? Thanks.

Yes all open and warm and sunny usually. It’s such a nice time of year to get away from the miserable UK and enjoy some sunshine. Choose a hotel with a heated pool. The iberostar Bougainville is lovely.

I am looking for the same thing . I have been to Lanzarote twice in February. Playa de Blanca. Pool wasn’t warm enough to swim and found the area a bit lacking in charm. Also been to Marrakesh in Feb. Weather was lovely and enjoyed it, but once is enough.
Never been to Tenerife. We are looking for somewhere to stay which is adults only , as unspoilt as possible and with some things to visit and do as lying by the pool gets boring. Dubai is my idea of hell.

Also been to Cyprus in March. Too cold to swim and wasn’t impressed generally. Paphos. There are ruins to visit which I enjoyed .

Fabulous for small children. Sunshine guaranteed.

I went to Fuerteventura for a big birthday in February a few years ago. Weather was mixed to say the least - cloudy and not very warm most of the week, just the odd few hours by the pool.
Went to Lanzarote this March, we had a storm with heavy wind and torrential rain, and only 1 decent day out of the 7.
Evenings were cool on both trips, we needed jeans and jackets.
Appreciate that others have been lucky.
But it can be hit and miss at that time of year.
Probably wouldn’t go back to the canaries in Winter!

Canary islands. I remember a friend coming back from there in Feb looking so tanned and relaxed while everyone in Uk was soggy and frozen and gloomy. I've wanted to go there in Feb ever since.

Can someone also recommend hotels ? I saw one Riu up the thread. If there's any other suggestions please let me know. 😊

Not beachy, but we have been to Andalusia on city breaks in Nov and Dec and the weather has been lovely. I’m guessing Spain and Greece have some nice coastal options in Feb. Also Sicily
