I will be 24w pregnant when I travel to Faro in September. Midwife and consultant currently more than happy for me to travel and I'm going in to my midwife the week before for blood pressure etc. I have Low Papp-A in this pregnancy and had it in my last pregnancy. It's not a diagnosis of a complication as such rather a hormonal thing that flags a very slightly higher risk of fetal growth restriction meaning I'll get more scans. Didn't affect my last pregnancy at all. I take aspirin daily to help blood flow.
My last pregnancy I went over 2 weeks overdue and ended up with very mild pre-eclampsia. No meds, no complications but I was induced mostly because I was already over 2 weeks over and "they might as well" because of the mild pre-eclampsia symptoms.
First of all do I need to declare these to travel insurers? Pregnancy isn't a pre-existing condition, and my travel insurance defines pre-existing condition as last 12 months so that rules the pre-eclampsia out from last time. Low Papp-A isn't a diagnosis of anything it's simply a hormone level.
Second, can anyone recommend a good travel insurance in case I do need to declare and need more comprehensive insurance due to these things?
Thanks!
