I've decided that in 2025 I want to visit Sydney. It's a safe city with style gorgeous views.

Can anyone give me any recommendations? What's the city like?

People who have flown there. What's the route you take?

When I went to Sydney I went via Hong Kong

I always try and fly via Singapore and do a stopover when I can, I absolutely love Singapore but find it hard to justify as a separate holiday.

I wouldn't go all that way just to visit Sydney. Its a beautiful city but not worth two weeks when there is so much other stuff to see.

We’ve flown via Doha & Singapore but just switched aircraft rather than spend any time in either city.

Just to add that internal flights between cities in Australia are more like catching a bus, so if you wanted to do another city it's really east. Limited security checks and none of the faff with liquids.

We flew to Sydney via Doha and Singapore and home from Cairns

I wouldn't go to Sydney to get big city vibes, there are a few highlights but I wouldn't plan to spend any more than 4 days there. Australia so much more to offer and in my opinion the cities are not the best bits.

Holidays are more stressful and staying at home because you're on the goal a time even if you don't feel like it because you feel obliged to do things because you've paid out for a holiday
