Most relaxing holiday possible

Me and DH (early 30s) have had pigs of busy years at work and have barely managed any time off.

It looks like we could get 5-6 nights away in late September and need an easy but majorly relaxing break. Any recommendations?

Criteria:

Can be anywhere - UK options fine, flights fine (up to 4 hours from North West airports)

Budget can be as much as it needs

Good food available (bonus points if good at dealing with allergies / restrictions)

If not decently dry / sunny weather, then lots of indoor relaxation options (bonus if there are private spaces for relaxing)

Not AirBnB / Villa but would be happy with self catering in a complex or resort setting

Relaxing!! maybe a spa or massage treatments available, tranquil atmosphere, good service, comfy beds, pleasant rooms

I have been down a Google rabbit hole tonight and there are just too many options that I can’t see the wood for the trees

I'd look at the fancy AI if budget not an issue - Ikos always gets mentioned.

Or there are some gorgeous hotels in Sardinia / Sicily.

It's not for everyone, but my friends swears by cruises for food allergies. They allocate a personal chef to ensure you have quality, safe food.

I second the idea of a cruise.

As a bonus, cruise WiFi is expensive and unreliable, so you can really switch off and set that out-of-office message ("Yes, I really will be unable to reply for a week"). Of course, when you get to a port you can use whatever roaming data package you have. (Tip: Turn your data off when you set sail in the evening. Sometimes your phone roams to the ship's 4G service which is several million dollars per kilobyte.)

We’ve done cruises before and really enjoyed them, but I just don’t think we have enough time off for it this autumn. We’re looking at 5, maybe 6 nights at a push from the 20th September.

They are really good for food allergies though, so can highly recommend for anyone with those to consider
