We are a family who loves to travel extensively. We own a campervan and have had the opportunity to venture around Europe quite a bit.

We’re looking for recommendations of holiday destinations that your family loved. We prefer to rough it, go out and eat locally etc rather than an all inclusive.

So where shall we do in 2024? We were thinking Australia over Easter but might do Bali in September instead. We’ll start the year in Morocco.

please hit me up with your next family holiday recommendations!

@Inspiremeaholiday I'm afraid I have no suggestions for Nepal, it's on my bucket list.

Where did you go in Mozambique? I stumbled across it as an option while looking for different places with reasonable weather for for July/August.

Wild camping in Hawaii and New Zealand! Unforgettable and life changing!

@House4DS mozambique is one of my favourite places in the world. This trip we went to ponta do ouro where we swam with dolphins and spent time on the beach. You can dive uncertified and surf/kayak etc. you can also do your dive accreditation for a really reasonable price. We slept literally on the beach, and I love sleeping hearing the ocean. Next we went up to Maputo. One of my favourite cities in the world (this was my 4th visit) Driving is intense but ok and it’s such an interesting mix. Fruit bats in the botanical gardens are worth a visit as is a tuk tuk tour.
Easy access from ponta is new. There is a relatively new road that comes up from KZN in SA and more flights to Maputo (2 hours away)
Further north is better (but not too far north) too as it’s a bit warmer is July (though we had 24-30 degrees). Beline is amazing (just south of xai xai) and tofo is awesome too but harder to get to.
Be wary of north north.
As a side note Maputo is relatively close to the Kruger park if you wanted to do beach and animals.
shout if you’d like more details.
