So we’ve been to Cornwall lots, but never with a child. We used to love daytripping to boscastle, padstow, tintagel, crackington haven and climbing up the huge hills, but now we have a toddler in tow my mind has gone blank.. we’re only there for 3 full days and planned to do one day on bude beach and one day at the big sheep but where should we go for the last day?

I remember padstow being beautiful but hilly, and boscastle being the same.. is there anywhere more ‘toddler friendly’ but still scenic?

Not sure if Trebah gardens are too far? Very beautiful gardens set in a narrow cut from a cliff top down to the coast with a small, picturesque beach at the bottom that sells ice creams and a well shaded woodland childrens’s playground part way along the walk. Large decent tearoom at the top and the walk itself has fun things for little ones like a giant Gunnera walk that makes you feel like tiny insects walking through a rhubarb patch. Lovely introduction to lush Cornwall gardens for a little person .

Ooh thank you @Calliopespa! I have never heard of that. It’s about a 2hr drive from bude where we are staying, but doable I think!

You’ll both enjoy it too. It’s very lush and beautiful sitting as it is right by a sparkling sea, and the beach is dinky small and a kind of “absorbable” size for a small person. Everyone but everyone gets an ice cream from the little shop when they have wound down through the gardens to get there! Lots take buggies as the walk up is a little steeper ( but nothing taxing).
