Where would you go for £2,000 for one week?

Looking at going away in November for 7-10 nights. Our hotel budget is £2,000, preferably at least half board for that. Flights will be done on points.

Where do you think is good? We looked at the Maldives and found some great deals, but transfers are about £400 each!

For a week, I wouldn't want to fly more than 7 hours personally..You'll loose too much time flying.
I'd be looking at Oman or Jordan, maybe Abu Dhabi for sun.
Or else do a city break to East Coast USA, maybe NYC, Boston, perhaps Toronto

For a week I would minimise jet lag so perhaps head south to either South Africa or somewhere like Zanzibar just off the coast of Tanzania, which is gorgeous and only GMT+3

A hotel room for 2 (?) people for a whole week - even just B&B - usually comes in at about £3,000 so I'm very intrigued to know where you would go for 10 days, half board, for £2,000!

Is this for 2 adults?

This is the Maldives with included transfer and Full Board.

You might struggle with half board for £200 a night (personally I find going out to eat one of the main highlights of a holiday!).

For 10 days, I wouldn’t want to fly more than 4hrs as it wastes too much of the holiday. Canary Island if you want some winter sun, Rome or Venice for some culture (although £200 a night won’t get you much in Venice), Lisbon is very reasonable and you could do a few day trips. Germany is good bet for that time of year, you can travel all around via the excellent train network and see a few places.

What sort of things are you looking for?

For a couple of grand, I would go on a Caribbean cruise, if your points will cover the flights to New York or Miami. You should be able to easily get a cruise for under £2000 for 7 to 10 days in November, including drinks.

For how many people? Adults or adults and kids? Sunshine or cooler climates?
Cultural or more beach and surf?
Car hire and exploring or more all inclusive and chilling?

Jordan is stunning, that time of year a visit to Petra would be a definite must do, it's nothing like as touristy as Egypt, but it's a cultural crucible and fascinating country with fantastic hospitality, and good for diving.

If a pool and beach is more your thing then I' be tempted with the Caribbean or Florida (America is eye wateringly expensive though, so budget £75-100 a day for food and drink, on the plus side the portions are huge, and the Yanks are brilliant at offering a doggy bag.

If you want stunning scenery and colour the East coast of America would tick those boxes, Maine and Vermont are my favourite states, the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. The covered bridges and little churches which pepper the sweeping landscapes, and diverse wildlife offer fantastic photo opportunities, the rugged Maine cliffs are awe inspiring. The scenery of Vermont is breathtakingly beautiful, the mountains are so wild that'll want to get off the beaten track and walk, but obviously take very sensible precautions, as they can be incredibly dangerous, so read all the dos and don'ts first, and follow local advice to the latter (also be aware that weather conditions can change very quickly, and the days (like ours) are shorter in the winter months, and the wind can be absolutely biting.

If you want culture Vienna would be at the top of the list, and you could possibly look at doing part of the orient express journey (but you'd need to up your budget a bit if it's for two adults, any more than two travellers and it would be way over your budget!

So much depends on what you are looking for, Madeira would still be quite warm, but it's not really a beach holiday destination.

I’m on holiday now, fair enough it’s only Spain but we’ve paid £2600 for 2 adults and 2 kids AI for 7 nights 4* so surely OPS ask can’t be impossible.

Op hasn't said for how many and the 2K is for the hotel only, op is also looking to go in November which is off peak and out of school holiday zone! So I think it's doable, depending on where OP wants to go, and booking independently.
